CGU Entrance Requirements
TOEFL or IELTS scores are required of all applicants whose native language
is not English and who do not hold an undergraduate or advanced degree
from an institution, in the U.S. or abroad, where English is the language of
instruction.

Scores must be sent to CGU directly by the testing agency.
•
Scores older than two years are not accepted.
•
A minimum TOEFL score of 85 iBT is required, with required section
minimums of no less than:
– Writing 22, Speaking 17, Reading 20, Listening 17
•
A minimum IELTS score of 6.5 is necessary for admission.

1. Google – Barbara Usher, an executive at Google and alum of the MS and PhD Information
Systems and Technology program, and co-teaches a course (The Art of Science of
Computational Skills for Industry) in the MSIST program
2. ESRI, the world’s leading supplier of geographic information system (GIS) software, has
multiple partnerships with CGU’s MSIST and MBA programs; CGU students attend
conferences and visit ESRI campuses in nearby Redland; number of students have received
internships, some have matriculated into full time employment
3. MBA program –Office of Professional Development builds employer relationships based on
student’s interests
• Forwards resumes to employers for specific positions -this can range from Operations,
Marketing, Finance across multiple industries, all dependent on where students want to
go: examples of employer internships include NBC Universal, Disney, Paramount, and
