SHAFT ADAPTER ASSEMBLY 1. Clean the shaft bore
SHAFT ADAPTER ASSEMBLY
1. Clean the shaft bore with a wire brush or cotton swab and acetone.
2. We recommend a flat tip trim on all drivers of .250” You can develop your own formula if desired. Please review the last page of the instruction manual and
you will see how tip insertions vary with the use of UNI-FIT. A .250” tip trim alleviates the shafting depth variance and gives you a minimal net CPM
change while at the same time protecting the structural integrity of the golf shaft.
3. After tip trimming, prepare the tip section of the shaft .875” from the distal end. Choose the desired installation location and draw a reference mark above
the prepared section of the shaft. In most cases this will be the Neutral position. Please note that as the shaft rotates into varying loft / lie positions any
“grip”, “spine”, “logo” or “Pure®” orientation will no longer be as originally aligned.
4. Install the shaft matching the alignment mark to the desired install location. Once you believe the shaft to be fully inserted it is recommended that you tap
the threaded end with a rubber mallet to ensure that the shaft has bottomed out. Next clean the components and allow the epoxy to fully cure.
5. Dry fit the shaft adapter with the applicable hosel sleeve and club head. Measure and cut to the desired playing length. To acheive a 45.00” finished
playing length with UNI-FIT components use a raw cut of 43.375”. In either case, playing lengths may vary up to .125” from club to club.
6. Prior to use it is recommended that you use a drop of lubricant in the threaded end of the shaft adapter after blowing it out with an air tool. This will ensure
that any loose debris has been removed and will eliminate the potential to damage the threads.
HOSEL ADAPTER INSTALLATION AND FINAL ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the OEM torque screw with the backside of a drill bit, an allen wrench or our OEM screw removal tool. Do so by placing pressure on the top end
of the screw inside the hosel while using the OEM wrench to loosen the screw. Each screw is held in place by a rubber or nylon retaining washer. Some
screws will require more pressure than others to remove, but they will all come out.
2. Place the applicable UNI-FIT hosel adapter into position. The (ONE DOT) or (TWO DOTS) location should be aligned along the back centerline of the
hosel. Most club heads have a reference mark in this location.
3. Place the shaft into the desired playing location. Please review the settings on the following page to see how loft / lie is affected. Once the UNI-FIT
components are fully engaged, place the butt end of the grip against the ground.
4. Select the proper bolt and washer for the applicable UNI-FIT hosel adapter. #2302-#2312. Slip the torque screw into the washer. Place the screw into the
bit of the UNI-FIT torque wrench and slowly thread the components together. Once the components are engaged fully and are ready for play you will
hear an “AUDIBLE CLICK” from our special wrench. If you DO NOT hear this then something is wrong and the components CAN NOT be used.
Causes may include an improperly selected bolt, an out of tolerance bolt, or adapter unit. Please take special care to not misplace bolts or washers.
LEGAL NOTICE- End user assumes all risk associated with the use of UNI-FIT components. To avoid damage please make sure the bolt and shaft adapter are clean and free of debris. Using
any other tool other than the UNI-FIT torque wrench may cause damage including stripping, seizing or degradation to the components. Use of any other tool other than the UNI-FIT torque
limiting wrench to loosen or tighten components for the UNI-FIT system will void the warranty, may cause permanent damage bodily injury or death.
