TREVISO CONDOMINIUMS
la

Treviso. Even the name conjures
up images of romance and beauty.
Inspired by the richly historic Italian
town of Treviso, just north of Venice,
Treviso Condominiums will exude the
same magnificent Italian sensibilities,
the architecture, the lifestyle, the
landscape, the essence of la dolce
vita of Treviso, right here in the
heart of North York.

Italian Inspired Living at
Dufferin & Lawrence
When Lanterra Developments takes on the challenge of building a new
condominium community, they look to the world for inspiration. From
their Scandinavian-inspired ICE at the foot of Toronto’s lakefront, to their
Murano and Burano communities on Bay Street, Lanterra first assembles
an award-winning team that travels to the particular destination where they
soak up the surrounding culture and let its influence permeate the design.
The result is always authentic, exclusive and poles apart from the typical
cookie-cutter condos that dot the Toronto horizon.
For Treviso, the team travelled to the City of Treviso and discovered, among
other things, the delicate balance between modern Italian design and the
richness of history from which it springs.
Treviso in North York will bring that exquisite tension to its architecture,
its lifestyle and its glorious landscaping, providing a genuine depiction of
Italian life within a setting that offers the ultimate in convenience.
It’s hard to fathom a town whose earliest roots begin in years with double digit
numbers. And yet, the story of Treviso is a tale of ancient history blending
Romantic, Renaissance and Modern influences into a meld of architecture that
has spawned such greats as Cima da Conegliano, Giorgione and Antonio Canova.
Palladio has worked here, planning and building some of his most important
examples of Venetian Villas, true masterpieces of architecture of all times.
But the area does not only vaunt history and architecture; it also offers
uncontaminated nature and beautiful landscapes in a territory where, within
a few kilometres, the foothills of the Alps meet the Venetian lagoon.
This rich tapestry of natural beauty has, for centuries motivated the magnificent
architecture of Treviso with its rich colonnades, piazzas and loggia and today,
it is the inspiration behind Treviso Condominiums in North York.

The trip to Treviso wouldn’t have been complete without a side
trip to Bologna. Bologna is art, culture, tradition, museums, villas,
palazzos, squares, churches, abbeys, arcades and towers; it is also
modernity and innovation, the heart of the national economy, with
brands that have become famous throughout the world: Ferrari,
Ducati, Lamborghini and Maserati, Borbonese, Magli, Les Copains
and La Perla. It is a city of tastes, of good food, of pasta made with
eggs and rolled out by hand, of tortellini (ring-shaped pasta parcels
with a savoury filling), of lasagne with mixed meat sauce and of
mortadella (bologna sausage). And it is a city renowned for its
architecture, especially its colonnades, which inspired the Treviso
team and which found their way into the Treviso design.

Old-World
Roots
Fundamental to the Treviso style is a
central piazza that ties the community
together. Piazza Treviso, inspired by the
Piazza dei Signori in the heart of the
city, will be a magnificent pedestrian
destination complete with lush
plantings, comfortable seating – even a
wishing well at its heart! Here residents
can take an evening stroll, rendezvous
under a canopy of stars, meet with
friends – all within the warm ambiance
of a delightful Italian square.
Consisting of four stunning buildings,
Treviso’s master plan includes
convenient ground floor retail stores,
an impressive entry boulevard and an
all-season recreational component that
includes a swimming pool, spa, gym and
entertainment facilities – all designed to
reflect the Italian zest for life.

The
Renaissance
of Modern
Italian
Architecture
Capturing the flavours of Italian design, with its rich history of architecture reflected
in its numerous old churches and charming ancient structures sitting comfortably on
streetscapes beside contemporary architecture, presents an obvious challenge. Is it
prudent to mimic the exquisite details of the past? Jump ahead to the highly polished
modern era? Or find a compromise between the two? Lanterra’s architectural team
chose the latter.
They pulled elements from the past into a modern framework and designed a
contemporary style that incorporates the sleek and elegant architecture of today with
signature elements from historical Italian design.
One of the things that impressed the architectural team indelibly, were the oversized loggia – the balconies and terraces in
Treviso that extend the living outdoors and provide marvelous showplaces of flourishing terra cotta planters brimming with
lush flowers and greenery. In designing Treviso Condominiums, the team included these loggia in their plans – each suite at
Treviso features an oversized balcony where residents have enough room to truly enjoy al fresco living from their own suite.

From the moment you arrive at Treviso, you will be embraced by the unique sense of hospitality
that is the true measure of an Italian welcome. From the old-world inspired entry boulevard to the
convenient passenger drop off area, to the grand sense of arrival you will experience in the lobby –
everything at Treviso has been designed to say Benvenuto – Welcome.

Treviso’s
Public Spaces
The artistry of Treviso’s gardens have
inspired a landscape plan that is, in a
word, magnifico. The Piazza Treviso at
the centre of the Treviso community
will provide residents with a charming
destination surrounded by stunning
gardens creating a rich tapestry of
colour in every season. The outdoor
amenity area is lush with gardens –
fragrant roses, delicate herbs, hardy
cedars embracing an area that offers al
fresco dining, BBQ stations, a delightful
spa, pool and an artistic cabana covered
with an aromatic arbour – all for the
single purpose of creating a swath of the
Treviso lifestyle for residents to enjoy.
Traversing the Treviso waterway that
signals the entrance to this beautiful
community, are two pedestrian bridges
that have been designed to reflect
genuine Treviso architecture, creating
an inviting link to meticulous walking
paths that wend throughout the
community.
The key to genuine Treviso living is
the Italian penchant for strolling in the
evening, after dinner, stopping perhaps
in a café for an espresso, discussing the
events of the day as the sun gently sets.
And at Treviso this beautiful custom has
been crafted into the very essence of this
extraordinary condominium community.

Treviso is at
the Heart of
Toronto’s Most
Convenient
Neighbourhood
One of Toronto’s most popular
residential neighbourhoods can be
found in the community surrounding
Dufferin and Lawrence Avenues. This
highly livable area is in the midst of all
of the conveniences of the city – and yet
retains a modicum of old world charm
that makes it unique.
Both Dufferin and Lawrence are superpublic transportation arteries – where
one has less than a five-minute wait
for a bus in any direction. Just a short
ride to the Lawrence Subway station
connects to points north and south
via train. Yorkdale Shopping Centre,
downtown Toronto – are all just a fast
ride away! Access to Hwys 401 and Allen
Road are instantly accessible, making
Treviso one of the city’s best locations.
This well established neighbourhood
offers a fabulous selection of shopping
centres, grocery stores, discount retail
outlets, services, restaurants and
theatres. And for social and recreational
amenities, The Columbus Centre is just
steps away!
The Columbus
Centre
In the vast marble lobby, you’re saluted
by a statue of Pinocchio; in the adjacent
gallery, you can view an ever-changing
selection of contemporary art. The
70,000-square-foot facility houses an
18-metre pool, five squash courts, two
racquetball courts and a gym with a
100-metre suspended running track.
Outside are three tennis courts and
three new beach volleyball courts. All
of this plus, a huge roster of activities,
social clubs and more and it’s just
moments from Treviso!
