It’s a Dry Dock! When a dear friend joins the family,
it’s a celebration, and then steady as she goes. And so
it is for the Gecko’s Hospitality Group as Mike Quillen
and Mike Gowan welcome the Dry Dock Waterfront Grill
to their family of restaurants.
For more than two decades Dry Dock has been a local
favorite on Longboat Key and a jewel of our community,
offering the freshest in seafood, stunning views of
Sarasota Bay, and with a hospitality quotient that Eric
and Cindy Hammersand and their staff have seamlessly
incorporated into the Dry Dock culture. “There has
existed a mutual respect and admiration between our
family of restaurants for some time,” said GHG
Co-owner, Quillen. “The gem that Eric and Cindy and
their team have built in the Dry Dock will continue to
stand on its own and enable us to share another facet
of fresh, delicious fare and top shelf hospitality to our
guests and our new neighbors on Longboat.”
The Dry Dock joins siblings of the Gecko’s Hospitality
Group, a family of polished casual restaurants in
Sarasota and Bradenton. Over their 23 year run,
Gecko’s Grill & Pub’s has created steady economic
stimulus, generating jobs for thousands of Floridians,
and has been consistently awarded “Best of Sarasota” in
numerous categories. The Dry Dock joins the fold and
renews the GHG’s mission to provide exceptional
hospitality and fresh, local fare with a gourmet twist,
with a menu that is accessible to everyone.
