Clatskanie Farmers’ Market Open For Business
Saturdays in Cope’s Park, June through September
Buying fresh produce straight from the person who grew it, or
eggs from the person who raised the chickens are throw-backs to
days gone by. The Clatskanie Farmers’ Market is a great way to
help consumers connect with what they are eating: They can talk
directly with the gardener or farmer, they can see what fruit, vegetables and berries grow in certain months, and they will come
to understand the importance of healthy soil and water that are
necessary to nourish crops that are grown without chemicals. The
Clatskanie Farmers’ Market will also be filled with arts and crafts
which gives the artists a venue for showing their talents.
The Market will be in operation every Saturday from June
through September from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM in Cope’s Park. A
list of seasonal produce, crafts and what is happening each week at

hh Clatskanie Farmers’ Market Garden: a large variety of produce grown by volunteers from the Clatskanie Farmers’ Market in a garden area donated by the Presbyterian Church on
Nehalem Street.

hh Music: Victoria Kingsbury will play guitar and sing regularly. The Marimba Band from Great Vow Zen Monastery will play on July 5th. Other bands will be scheduled throughout the
summer too.
hh Youth Activities/Master Gardeners: Liana Harden will lead fun, educational activities at the Grow Healthy Kids booth on occasion.
