Welcome to the
KidsMatter Student Job Fair
The goal of this event is two-fold: (1) to provide high school and college

develop basic skills needed to become successful workers.

O
Inside: office, restaurant, store, and so on.

odds of securing a job. For those of you who attend the Job Fair, there
are representatives who can assist you with applications, internship

The Party Coordinator: Is in the Party room with the party, setting up, serving
(pizza and cutting and serving cake), as well as helping with presents and
cleaning up after they leave. It is a very fast paced and very detailed and time
oriented position because they are only in your room for 40 minutes and you
have to have everything ready as well as served and then cake then presents
but only 40 minutes with up to 26 kids, so very time restraint. After that party
leaves you have to clean up and set up for the next party with about 30-40
minutes between the parties and that is if the party is out on time. Again this
position you are also on your feet for the majority of your shift, we do not allow
leaning on walls and we don’t allow you to sit down during a party, you must
be constantly walking around monitoring the kids, parents and tables to make
sure the party runs smooth and effectively.
Rock Wall Attendant: Is a very physically involved job, you would be responsible
for the safety of the children while climbing the rock wall. Each child needs to
be properly harnessed and hooked up to the rock wall, while maintaining a fast
paced line of children. Two children can climb at once so you need to be able
to control the line as well as quickly, but safely, un-harness and re-harness up to
20-25 kids in a 30-40 minute period. Thus position can sometimes be 4-5 hours
long with a 5 minute break every 40 minutes.
Shift Manager: Candidates should be highly motivated, enthusiastic, a team
player, able to provide quality service to our guests. Responsibilities include
managing the staff, open/closing the facility, handling cash transactions and
manage the flow of parties and guests within the facility. The required skills are:
excellent customer service and communication skills, detail oriented, strong
ability to multitask and work under pressure as well as having leadership and
managerial skills.

Skills or experience necessary: We are looking for outgoing energetic people
who love kids and are not afraid to go crazy and have fun and get the
kids involved in games and having fun and being loud. You must also be
dependable, on time and very flexible with your availability on weekends. Must
have dependable transportation, and open weekend availability.
We are currently looking for day time and evening part time people, also
working weekends at Pump It Up is a must since half of our busiest business is
on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
The candidate must have a love for children. Part-time positions are available
for days or evenings and must be able to work weekends (ranging from 8:00

guiding students and their families to develop
a panoramic vision of their future. Her mission
is for students and families to recognize that
fulfillment and purpose are equally important as
financial prosperity. She helps build a foundation
where parents encourage children to live their
unique life purpose. The result is a family unit that
supports fulfillment in all areas of life. Students are
empowered to make informed decisions about
high school classes and activities, and eventually a
college major and career path. Tracy also works with
parents as they explore the next phase of their lives
as their children become adults.

ParentsMatterToo is an initiative coordinated by KidsMatter,
including representatives from schools, faith communities and
businesses. This Initiative empowers a Network of Connected
Parents who are committed to providing nonjudgmental
opportunities to share struggles, provide support, and ultimately
strengthen the fabric of our families - providing hope for a
healthy tomorrow.
Our Goal: To offer parents a safe environment to ask questions,
discuss at-risk situations and be strengthened to challenge our
children’s choices about drugs, alcohol, anxiety, depression,
bullying, cybercrime, and other at-risk behaviors.
Why? ParentsMatterToo has been created in response to the
heroin overdoses that resulted in 83 deaths in DuPage County
between 2012 and 2013. Research from parent focus groups
reveals that parents prefer seeking help anonymously online or
from other parents before reaching out to professional service.
That research resulted in the creation of ParentsMatterToo.

This exciting interactive parent resource
offers 3 services:
The ParentsMatterToo.org “Ask The Expert” Website
Listen to local professionals answer questions about drugs,
alcohol, bullying, school work, anxiety, depression, and other
issues impacting our children. Anonymous questions will be
addressed by a highly-qualified professional. Current research
and links to the most trusted national experts are provided. This
online information empowers parents to be the informed, positive
influence their children need.
Parent Conversation Circles-Empowering Parents to
challenge their children’s choices
Sign up to join in meaningful conversation focused on important
questions parents are asking: What do I need to KNOW to be an
effective parent? What do I need to SAY to my child? What do I need
to DO to be the parent I want to be?
Text to follow
Guided small groups are being held in coffee shops, faith
communities, schools, business board rooms, and other locations
where parents feel comfortable gathering. Conversation Circles
are opportunities for parents to share life experiences, discuss
parenting situations, and gain knowledge and support.
Speakers: The ParentsMatterToo website shares a calendar of
information that lists upcoming speakers and events focused
on opportunities for parents to become knowledgeable,
influential, and armed with skills to effectively challenge our
children’s choices.
