Snow Mountain Ranch
Located in Colorado near Winter Park, Rocky Mountain
National Park and Grand Lake, Snow Mountain Ranch

Situated on more than 5,000
acres, the ranch’s on-site winter
activities include cross-country
skiing on one of the finest, most
expansive trail systems in the
U.S., sledding, snowshoeing,
winter family programs, and easy
access to the Winter Park, Mary
Jane and Sol Vista downhill
ski areas. On-site summer
activities include horseback riding, hiking, biking,
canoeing, a zip line and a variety of family programs, plus
easy access to nearby fishing, boating and rafting.

More than 20,000 skiers per year
visit our property, which covers
5,200 acres of mountain meadows
and forests at an altitude of 9,000
feet. Our Nordic Center has more
than 100 kilometers of trails
accommodating everyone from the
first-time Nordic skier or snowshoer
to the elite racer, as well as skiers
with special needs. Beginners can
ski on short loops around the Nordic
Center while the experienced racer
can train on longer trails with
steeper climbs.

Beyond cross country skiing, families
and groups can enjoy ice skating,
sledding and tubing, snowshoeing
and sleigh rides.
The Nordic Center’s full-service ski shop is where you will find

When it’s time for a break, re-energize at the
Skinny Ski Cafe, located above the Nordic
Center. Enjoy a light snack, a hot bowl of soup
or a delicious sandwich.

The Snow Mountain Ranch–YMCA Kids Nordic Ski Program
offers ski instruction for beginners and more accomplished
skiers ages 5-15, skiing games, winter nature activities, and
ends with a Nordic Ski Festival.
Equipment included for lesson.
Trade-up Program
Easily change out gear as your child grows!
This program allows children to be involved in Nordic skiing
in a way that’s affordable for the family. Children will receive
new skis and boots every year.
