The CRENO COMPACT has a moving gantry and it’s U main frame conception provides an excellent
stiffness for increased quality and accuracy. The acceleration of constant masses is totally independent from
the work piece size and weight for fast effective feed rates. This optimization is only possible with expert
knowledge
ledge and the aid of FEM and modal analysis.
A fully enclosed machining area assists in the reduction of noise and dust pollution.

How to be effective with chips and dust ?
When the option CRENO dust extraction system is connected to an efficient
Dust Extraction Unit which has the power and features to effectively collect the
dust and chips, the machine remain relatively clean. In conjunction with
existing CRENO users we have designed and developed a system so that the
collection of the composite dust around the spindle/head is as efficient as
possible. The dust is collected via an interchangeable spindle hood ➊. Dust is
then drawn up via flexible pipe ➋, through a circular designed ring ➌ around
the bottom of the ram, then up through two ducts ➍ positioned on the Z axis
ram itself. The dust is then extracted from the top of machine via flexible
ducting to a collection system on a pipe Ø 120 on which we require a speed of
20 m/s.

You can also design your own spindle hood for particular applications. Note
that dust and chip extraction can only be partial, particularly for aluminum
chips.
As an option the CRENO spindle hood (dust or chip extractor) can be changed
automatically with the CRENO Automatic Tool Changer, whenever the cutter is
changed for higher productivity.
