Remember “Little Miss Muffet, sat on her tuffet”.
Now you can see what a “tuffet” is and you can
make your very own.
What person doesn’t love having a quilter as a friend!
Some of my favorite gifts are the homemade gifts.
I added a new series to this newsletter called,
“Stitch a Gift”.

Yes, we are a quilt shop but it is so much fun to sew
other projects too. There will be bag classes, wool
classes, hand embroidery classes and a Tuffet class.
Block of the Week “Barn Raising”
Spend a short time with us and share your Block of the
Week Quilt. You told us how much you enjoyed participating,
so show us what you did. Some of you made other projects
from the book, please share your handiwork. Please call
and let us know you are coming, 722-8810. Everyone is
welcomed to come.
Saturday, December 12, 2015
2–3 PM
Selected days have been set aside with small, easy
projects you can make. Join us for fun, friendship
and sharing of ideas.
You will see “BERNINA, Make it Your Own”, on our
monthly calendar of classes. We will have events
featuring different BERNINA Sewing Machines or
BERNINA products. If you are interested in a specific
machine, please let the staff in the Sewing Room take
your name, telephone number and model of machine.
Saturday, September 12, 2015 will feature the
BERNINA 790 and 880. Join us for “Barn Raising”
a time for Show & Tell of your Block of the Week Quilt
and anything else you made with the blocks. Everyone
is welcome whether you participated or not, just let us
know you are coming.
Don’t forget OESD’s annual Holiday Collection, watch
our email for more information. Not only will you
enjoy this year’s Holiday collection but so many other
wonderful embroidery projects. You can embroidery
several different pumpkins (you know how much I love
pumpkins), and wait to see the snowman, oh are you
going to love it.
Save November 5-7, 2015, the dates of the Quilt, Craft
and Sewing Festival better known as the Rusty Barn.
The Sewing Room will be vending in their usual spot,
come by and say “hi”. We’ll have new samples to see
and machines to stitch.
You will notice that some of our classes ask for a
refundable $20.00 deposit. Many of our events have a
waiting list, with limited number of spaces available we
would like to give each person an opportunity to attend.
The exact number also helps us with refreshments,
you all know “Kevin”, our personal chef.
Be sure to check our calendar for the store hours and
days we will be closed during the holiday season.
Come visit us online.

What a summer, between the Row by Row and our
Block of the Week, it was a very busy summer. I hope
you enjoyed all the various projects we had. Be sure
to share and show us the finished quilts. I want to
congratulate Pam Ellis, she was the Quilt Basket
winner of the Row by Row. Pam brought her
finished quilt four days after R/R started!
Did you sleep at all Pam?

“Stitch a Gift”
Let’s have our own sewing
bee and start making holiday
gifts. We’ll have a small
project at each session. We
would love to have you share
some of your gift ideas too.
To make it even easier we
will have kits available for
each project. Three half day
sessions and two all day
sessions are scheduled, this
will give you the opportunity
to make another project,
finish a project or do both.
Sign-up for one class or all
the classes, it is your choice.
Bring a friend and make it a
party. This is your opportunity
to set aside a special time to
sew without interruption and
just “enjoy”.
Frivols are here!
Introducing the All
New Bernina Q20
The BERNINA sit-down longarm is here…
It offers 20 inches right of the needle for
a huge work area. But bigger isn’t the only
thing that makes us better, it’s loaded with
unique BERNINA features that make quilting
faster, easier and even more enjoyable.
Come to the Sewing Room and sit down
and see for yourself how fabulous it is.
We’re excited now it is your turn to get excited!

for a sleeveless top or dress, tips for better cover–

Seven day cancellation policy
Many of our clubs and classes have a class fee or
they are free if you have purchased your sewing
machine or software from us. All our classes require
you to cancel seven day prior to your class for a
refund. For example, if your class is on a Saturday,
you must cancel by the previous Saturday. The
“seven day cancellation” includes all free classes
that require pre-registration. We do require preregistration on some of our free classes; an example
is our mastery class and Embroidery Club. The preregistration helps the instructor prepare for the class.
The Sewing Room policy on mastery class is; your
scheduled mastery class continues whether there
