“It`s that time of year again...”
The traditional Christmas Market in Bonn city centre
will once again take place at Münsterplatz, Bottlerplatz, Friedensplatz and Mülheimer Platz, as well as
on the neighbouring streets of Windeckstrasse, Vivatsgasse and Poststrasse. There will be over 180
stalls at the Bonn Christmas Market from 20th November to 23rd December, offering a wide selection
of Christmas items, including almost everything from
decorative and practical arts and crafts to Christmas
decorations and culinary delights, and making it an
absolute must for Christmas market enthusiasts. As
during previous years, there will again be special
Bonn treats on offer for visitors at Sterntor. The
Christmas Market opens daily at 11 am. Come and
enjoy a wide variety of food and drink that goes far
beyond Glühwein. The Christmas Market will be closed on 22nd November to mark the last Sunday before Advent commemorating the dead (Totensonntag).
Festive brass music will resound across the square
from the Christmas pyramid in front of Bonn Minster
on every Saturday during Advent from 5 pm. In addition, Bonn’s churches will also offer religious services
and many other impressive events.
On 28th November, the Church Mile, with stalls run
by several churches and charitable organizations, will
open before the Bonn Minster. Come and experience
the special flair of the Bonn Christmas Market.
As with every year, there will also be a “Children’s Activity
House” at Münsterplatz, where children aged six and
above can play, paint and tinker to their heart’s content.
