Denver-based group brings a plethora of experience to its high-energy live show, drawing
on influences ranging from the Bakersfield sound to straight-up Western Swing. Touring in
support of the record, the Cowboy Dave Band has spent much of its time in Texas, a state

enlightening and educational with articulate explanations of horse behavior and hu-man
drama on the side. Julie Goodnight has spent her whole life with horses—from growing up

career that has allowed her to share her riding and training experience on television.
CLINTON ANDERSON - DOWN UNDER HORSEMANSHIP
RFD-TV ROUND PEN
SATURDAY, 2/28/2015 • 4:00 PM
SUNDAY, 3/1/2015 • 10:30 AM
Down under Horsemanship with Clinton Anderson. Clinton Anderson was born and raised
in Australia, where at the age of 6 his family recognized his natural ability with horses
and cultivated his interest, buying him his first horse at age 9. Clinton began attending
horsemanship clinics at age 12. At age 13 he began playing Polo-Cross and was chosen for a
national team representing his state. Clinton started his training apprenticeship full-time at
age 15 with nationally acclaimed clinician and horse trainer, Gordon McKinlay of Rockhampton,
Queensland. During the next two years, he started and trained over 600 horses under
Gordon’s expert apprenticeship. At age 17, Clinton left Gordon McKinlay and began working
for Ian Francis, nationally acclaimed Australian horse trainer in Gympie, Queensland. Clinton
worked steadily with Ian for one year, and then used his knowledge and expertise to begin his
own training facility. Clinton continued his own training and clinics until coming to the United
States in 1996 for a brief apprenticeship with Al Dunning, winner of multiple AQHA World
Championships. Clinton works hard to educate horse owners on how to be safe and effective
while enjoying their horses. His training methods are easy to understand and designed to help
horse owners get the results they desire.
CODY JOHNSON - PRE-SHOW CONCERT
TYSON FAN ZONE - COOPER TIRES STAGE
SATURDAY, 2/28/2015 • 4:00 PM
Cody Johnson: The Man, the Music: In a time of synthetics and plastics, folks appreciate the
real thing. Musically, we look for songs that reach beyond our eardrums, touching our hearts.
Cody Johnson’s unique blend of Country and Rock does just that. Many Texas Music fans met
Cody Johnson’s honest style through the radio singles from his Six Strings, One Dream album:
“Nobody to Blame” (#6 on the Texas music charts in 2009); #1”Pray for Rain” (2009 - 2010);
and “Texas Kind of Way” (#6, late 2010 – 2011). Expanding his boundaries beyond Texas, he
flew to Nashville to record a new CD with Nashville studio musicians hand-picked by his “big
brother,” Nashville-based fellow Texan, Trent Willmon, producer of the new album, A Different
Day (released October 31, 2011). Though new to Nashville recording ways, Johnson’s musical
confidence showed in the Music City recording studio. Together, he and the studio musicians
tweaked songs to obtain the exact intended effect. Listening to the Music City veterans, Cody
adopted suggestions when they felt right, and would “hang tough” when he felt the music
differently. According to CoJo, “I don’t want to be labeled as ‘Texas’ or ‘Nashville.’ I am me:
Texas, outlaw, cowboy, country, and a God-fearing man using the gift He gave me.”
