WELCOME TO CAMP HASC 2010!
On Wednesday morning after a year of being
empty, Camp HASC came to life as hundreds
of campers and counselors
stepped off of six busses on
to camp
the dining room and their bunk houses to
enjoy a delicious lunch
and have time to unpack. As the day came to
a close the campers enjoyed a wonderful
bonfire where they were able to reconnect,
sing, and dance.
As Thursday came around the campers were
enthusiastic about starting Academics with
their teachers and classmates. Although the day
was long, it ended with an amazing performance
by ‘everyone’s favorite uncle...Uncle Moishy!’
The campers danced and jumped with their
counselors and had a blast!
With two very successful days
behind them Friday approached only to bring
the camper’s very first Shabbos at Camp HASC
2010 closer! Academics and regular camp
activities were experienced by all including:
smoothie making, arts and crafts, decorating
the dining room for waitresses, picking up
snack, and making Shabbatograms! By the time
it was time to go to the Shul for Mincha on
Friday night, the Ruach was only beginning and
continued
all the way till late
hours in the dining
room, followed by an

grounds.
They were greeted
by lots of friendly
faces, music, an
abundant amount of
hugs and more.
After an eventful arrival, everyone headed to

sure to drink a ton and keep applying sun tan
lotion. The food was delicious, and division
activities so much fun! The
campers then went
to sleep after a n

Independence day
Sunday surely did
not go unnoticed at
Camp HASC! There was an amazing pie
eating contest and later the Campers were
able to participate in an independence day
parade. They not only walked, but prepared
displays as well. They painted, glued, cut,
and colored beautiful posters and signs
which they then marched with on Rechov
Yankie Eisen. The sun continued to shine as
the campers began
their wonderful
baseball game

the field! There
we r e s o m a ny
home runs!
Everyone was

impressed by the
camper’s fantastic
efforts! Just when
the day seemed to be
coming to a close, Eli and Yaakov Mordechai
Gerstner showed up, performing one
amazing show! The campers and all the staff
were blown away and were so sad when
he had to leave!
The long weekend
continued on
Monday which was
Carnival Day! There
were so many games
and
blow
up
attractions set up all
over the lawn. Every
camper was able to
participate whether on
the slide, in the water
park, or just by grabbing
some snacks! There was
popcorn and cotton candy, as well as a clown
giving out balloons! Next came the welcome
animal parade where donkeys, rabbits, and
sheep were escorted from the Shul to the
infirmary porch. All the campers were able
to pet and say hi to animals to make
them feel at home
at
Camp
HASC. The
campers had
huge smiles
on their faces,
and after a
long day in the
sun, bouncing
on
the
moonwalk, and
spraying water guns,
the
campers
continued the fun at
art night.

As soon as
Tuesday came around
the campers were pumped to
enjoy a busy day and party at the
Hawaiian Night Luau! There were hula
skirts, necklaces and flowers, accompanied
by Hawaiian music and new dance moves!
The week was slowly coming to a close as
Thursday approached. The campers were
seen to once again be enjoying daily
activities like swimming, calisthenics, and
the sensory room! As the sun began to set
there was a Kollel concert on the basketball
courts that was so much fun. After dinner
the campers quickly
headed
to the gym where they
enjoyed a night of steal
the bagel.
SEG came to visit the YAP women on
Wednesday morning, where they created
wonderful sand art! Right before dinner
some campers were able to make delicious
ice cream on the green lawn, when later
that night Pay Daled joined camp HASC in
the gym for a hopping concert full of crazy
dance moves.
