Indeed, Boède has sandy loam and sandstone soil and La Négly had clay limestone soil which gives to the wines produced from these vineyards abroad aromatic palate. Domaine La Guillaumerie is on 19 hectares of green and ochre shalestone hillside in the Loire Valley. This is ideal terroir for the Chenin and Cabernet Franc grape varieties. The vineyard is grassed over and integrated vineyard practices are used. The harvest is done manually, a pains-taking elimination process makes sure the grapes reach the winery at their optimum ripeness. The wine is aged in either stainless steel tanks or barrels depending on the blend.
