Norman and Carol
McGregor
Norman Jones and Carol Elizabeth (Meyers) McGregor, of
Pleasant Hills, will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary October
27, 2006, with a dinner for family and friends at Nemacolin
Woodlands Resort given by their children.
The McGregors were married at the home of the bride’s
parents, Michael and Julia Marie Meyers, on October 27, 1961, in
Burgettstown. Norman and Carol are the proud parents of James
McGregor and wife Suzanne, of Los Angeles, CA, Jennifer Howard
and husband Mark, of Nevillewood, PA and Nancy Neasham and
husband Daivd of Baltimore, MD.
After 30 years of service, Mr.McGregor retired from United
States Steel Corporation - Homestead Works. Mrs.McGregor
graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1972 and received
her Master’s degree in Education in 1975. She retired in 2003 as
an elementary school teacher for Pittsburgh Public Schools, where
she worked for years and was recognized as “Whos’s Who Among
America’s Teachers.”
A family vacation to Tuscany is planned for summer 2010.
