Day 1 - 2: Burley House, Lilongwe
Welcome to Malawi! Upon arrival at the Lilongwe International Airport, you will meet your Malawian
Style guide who will take you to the Burley House in Lilongwe for a night.
Set in beautifully established gardens in Lilongwe’s prestigious residential Area 43, Burley House
offers corporate and leisure travelers and idyllic retreat in a friendly, informal atmosphere. Burley
House extends all the facilities expected by today's traveler coupled with the exclusivity, serenity
and security. Accommodating a maximum of 18 guests in 3 Suites and 5 Executive Rooms, Burley
House is popular with international and local business travelers needing comfortable overnight
accommodation as well as long term stay. The Suites and Executive Rooms are extremely spacious
with fitted carpets and en-suite bathrooms.

Day 2 - 4: Lujeri Lodge, Mulanje Mountains
After breakfast, get prepared to leave the Burley House and drive towards Mulanje. Upon arrival in
Mulanje you will drive straight to the Lujeri Lodge at the Lujeri Tea Estate before hiking the Mulanje
Mountain.
Lujeri lodge is a converted old style colonial house and is a fantastic spot, with really nice friendly
staff. After spending some hours on the road you might want to take a short walk to the Blue
Lagoon pools, otherwise we can also take the car…

Day 4 – 6: The Malawian Style Cottage, Zomba
Descending the Mulanje Mountain, you will rest for a while after getting bath and refreshments.
Later in the morning it is time to drive to the Malawian Style Zomba Cottage at the beautiful Zomba
plateau.
Welcome to our home in Zomba, a wonderful place of rest and escape. This is a cozy two bedroom
cottage where you can enjoy the simpler side of life. A great place for walking and a horse riding
school just two minutes walk away from the cottage. We will also be happy to arrange a guide for
you to take you walking through the forest ravine.

Day 6 - 8: Mvuu Camp, Liwonde National Park
From the Zomba Plateau, you will drive towards your next destination; the wonderful
Liwonde National Park. Here it will be camping at Mvuu Camp.
Mvuu Camp overlooks a broad stretch of the Shire River (pronounced Shiree), with a
profusion of hippos, crocodiles and the amazing birdlife of the Liwonde National Park. An
impressive thatched dining and lounge area is situated nearby, offering a magnificent vista
of the Shire River. Dinners are sometimes held under the stars in a specially constructed
boma. Activities at Mvuu Camp revolve around boating trips on the Shire River and game
drives (morning and afternoon/evening). If you are curious to the hidden spots of Liwonde
National Park, make a nature walk or a bike ride to discover the surroundings and get
surprised by the unknown places of this park.

Day 8 – 10: Domwe Island, Cape Maclear
After breakfast, it is now time to drive to your next piece of paradise on the Cape Maclear. Arriving
at the Cape Maclear you will drive straight to Kayak Africa reception before at 10:30 am, from there
you will either Kayak out or boat ride to Domwe Island a 45 minutes trip.
Domwe Island is the largest unpopulated island in Lake Malawi, with a circumference of 11km and
a highest point 400m above lake level. Domwe Island Adventure Camp is basic yet exclusive. It lies
behind a small beach on the island’s west side. From solar lighting to dry compost toilets Domwe
aims to be as eco-friendly as possible, so during your stay here you will be living authentically
alongside nature.

Day 10 - 12: Malawian Style – Lake Malawi Cottage
This is your last day on the Island. After breakfast, get ready for your boat transfer to the mainland
of Cape Maclear. Your Malawian Style guide will be waiting for you at the Kayak Africa reception
and will take you to our Malawian Style Lake Malawi Cottage.
Malawian Style Lake Malawi Cottage is a fantastic cottage right on the shore of Cape Maclear.
Despite the Lake being right on the doorstep this cottage also has a luxury pool and large garden to
enjoy.
A wonderful opportunity to relax with the cottage totally taken care of by the staff and food
prepared for you by the chef. Meals promise to be flavourful and fresh….even the bread is freshly
baked which can be enjoyed either in the dining room or out the outside eating area overlooking the
lake. The cottage offers comfortable lounge with large flat screen T.V, books and games for your
enjoyment and has four bedrooms; three are twin rooms and 1 double.

Day 12: Departure Lilongwe
All the good things must come to an end and today breakfast your Malawian Style guide will drive
you straight from the Cape Maclear to Lilongwe International Airport for your flight back home.
