A high success rate and good employability
In Valenciennes, our success rate for University Technology diploma (DUT) is
85,3%.
For graduates immediately looking for a job after their degree, one observes:
• balance between diploma and job obtained: 93,5% of graduates enter
their careers with jobs above entry level
• stable work contracts: 79,6% of our graduates obtain a permanent
contract
L’IUT looks to expand
at the heart of UVHC (University of Valenciennes and of Hainaut-Cambrésis)
• the new Vocational Bachelor MCUP (Management and Unit Production
Control for the automobile and railway sectors) will be opened in
September 2014 with accreditation reserve
• the University Technology diploma QLIO has opened a teaching section
(apprentice contract) in September 2013
The student is at the heart of our system.
I wish to develop a center of professionalism that favors
placing students, auditors and apprentices in companies and
to facilitate their access to a job.
The teaching team, administrative and technical unit efforts for developing
IUT at the core of the University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambrésis,

access to heavy materials of the conception type and
machining, characterization by spectrometry and
infrared and fluorescent X, water quality analysis,
study of the electromagnetic compatibility but
equally the aid in the choice or the decision by
specific study biases (experiment plans, management
logistics, and accounting).
TEACHING COST
Companies contribute to the support
and development of pedagogical tools
for IUT of Valenciennes .
Thanks to their support, we acquired the following
new resources :
• NAO-H25 robot with a laser head
• Coupling automatons
• Fabrication machine
• PCB robot prototype and mini Starter PCB
• Optical vision system
• Charpy test anvils
• Minolta scanner
Close to 700 students doing internships in their second year of
secondary and tertiary DUT (University Technology diploma)
More than 500 students in Vocational Bachelor (European level L) in
placed in internships in companies

INTERNATIONAL DIPLOMAS
Courses for the Vocational Bachelor in International Trade are given at the same
time in French and English so as to allow foreign students to integrate into the
program.
At the moment of the globalization of exchanges,
international paths proposed by IUT are an asset for
future graduate job placement: 2 university diplomas
and one Vocational Bachelor are offered by IUT
Valenciennes.
For foreign students, 60 ECTS credits can be approved within the framework of
the CAI degree/ international class (course in English); among the following
classes:
Vocational Bachelor in International Trade
(CAI), DEMI*, DICC**
International course of study oriented towards
commerce and management (tertiary)
Students in the CAI program have a choice between two
types of study abroad programs.
• Students can benefit from complementary services
(personal guidance, distance courses) and enroll in the
European International Management degree program or
the International Diploma in Communication and
Commerce in addition to the CAI degree program. The
path chosen develops through one complete year abroad
(classes and internship). The course load is calculated into
European Credits ECTS, allowing for the academic
recognition of courses given in partner universities.
Agreements signed with certain institutions allows for the
receipt of a foreign degree in addition to the DEMI/DICC and
the CAI Vocational Bachelor.
• Vocational Bachelor in “English for International Business”
(language, communication and management) at
University of Preston, UK
• Vocational Bachelor in “International Business or
Marketing” at the Institute of Technology of Carlow in
Ireland.
• Vocational Bachelor in “Business Administration” at the
University of San Angelo in the United States upon
payment of summer courses onsite.
• Vocational Bachelor in “Business Administration” at the
