• We are closing in on our 75% goal
• We are approaching 600K foodservice items in the GDSN
– This is a 112% increase in the last 2 years!

GLN REGISTRY FOR FOODSERVICE
• 2010-2013: Defined business case for GLNs in foodservice
and created materials to support adoption and implementation
• 2014: ELC agreed to move forward with the GLN Registry for
Foodservice to exchange GLN information; pilot begins
• 2015: Registry launched in February 2015
– GS1 US Foodservice team executing monthly webinars
– Companies joining and using the registry

FOOD SAFETY & TRACEABILITY
• Created GS1-128 and SSCC position papers for
foodservice
• Seven (7!) Foodservice Initiative operators are asking for
GS1-128 today to enable their traceability efforts
• Many foodservice suppliers are already utilizing GS1-128
as part of other industry initiatives (Produce, meat &
poultry, seafood, dairy/deli/bakery)

DATA QUALITY
• Develop a data quality program to assure the most
accurate data is presented in the Global Data
Synchronization Network (GDSN) at all times
• FS companies asking for a singular approach to data
quality, completeness, accuracy and scorecarding
• FS DQ Sub-Team reviewed previous work done by
industry groups including S.C.O.R.E. and new materials
from the GS1 US National Data Quality team*
• Completed Foodservice industry aggregate scorecard
*Many FS DQ Sub-Team members also on GS1 US National Data Quality team
