Located in downtown San Jose, the new headquarters for San Jose
Evergreen Community College District (SJECCD) increases their
visibility and improves access for the public. The designers located
all the publicly-accessible meeting spaces directly on the groundfloor to provide easy ingress and egress. The heart of the first floor
is a large community auditorium that provides a functional space to
project highlights:

500-sf secured server room
engage with the public. Dropped acoustical panels add visual interest
while a wall of floor-to-ceiling glass enables daylight to penetrate the
space. Supporting the school’s online systems, the team located a
500-sf, secured server room in the central core of the building and
thoughtfully designed it to accommodate future expansion. Overall,
