1. Pre Planning – We can assist you with bid preparations as well as
helping you with “How To” issues in planning our next event.
2. Facility/Housing Arrangements - We can assist in the determination
and booking of appropriate facilities to accommodate your specific
needs, as well as getting special group rates for your event.
3. Site Inspections – We can assist and arrange full site inspections of
local hotels, facilities and attractions as well as putting you in touch with
all the appropriate personnel.
4. Information Packages – We can provide detailed information on any
facility and attraction in Sarnia-Lambton as well as providing
personalized mapping directions.
5. Welcome Packages – We take pride in servicing our visitors. Our
welcome packages are custom made for each individual event. The
packages will assist with promotion and attendance building for your

The Sarnia Chris Hadfield Airport (CYZR) is a certified facility. The hours of operation are
5:30 AM to 11:00 P.M. (1-888-247-2262 Reservation Line)
Sarnia-Lambton is linked to a
superb transportation network.
Located on the border of Ontario
and Michigan, the region offers
direct access to key markets in the
Great Lakes Industrial Corridor.
Highway 402, the region's main
transportation network, runs
eastward from the Michigan-Ontario
border and connects with Highway
401 – "Ontario’s Main Street". To the
west, 402 connects directly with
Michigan’s Interstate 94/69/75
network via the international Blue
Water Bridge.
The Airport is located 3 miles east of the city core with direct access to Highway 402 and
the City of Sarnia Business Park.
The Airport has been in operation for over 40 years serving the people of SarniaLambton and Southeastern Michigan.
Three flights daily except Saturday are provided by Air Canada Jazz to Pearson
International Airport in Toronto with connections to major Canadian, American, European
and Asian cities. The airline utilizes Beechcraft 1900D Aircraft.

Detroit Metropolitan Airport, which offers service to major U.S. and international
destinations, is just over an hour's drive from Sarnia. Over the last few years it has
undergone a dramatic transformation with a new terminal; a sixth runway; a south
entrance road; new parking garage; and a luxury class Westin Hotel. Improvements
continue with the ongoing construction of a new terminal to replace the aging Smith
Terminal. The new terminal is scheduled to open in 2008

CROSS BORDER TRANSPORTATION

The Blue Water Bridge is North America’s largest capacity international crossing with six
lanes. The bridges are part of the quickest route between Chicago and Toronto, and
allow for high-speed access to unlimited tourist and recreation opportunities. The Blue
Water Bridge also boasts a world class Duty Free Shop ranking as one of the top
facilities on the Canada/USA border.

Operating out of Sombra, ON, the ferry crosses the St. Clair River to Marine City, MI

The Group Sales Department of Tourism Sarnia-Lambton will be happy to assist in
organizing a full agenda for delegates and their partners. The following are examples of
suggested itineraries.
Gaming: Excitement is high at our two gaming facilities. The waterside OLG Casino Point
Edward features 490 slots ranging from $.05 to $5 along with 37 of the most popular gaming
tables. OLG Slots at Hiawatha Horse Park also has the thrill of 450 slot machines ranging
from $.05 to $5 & also features the nail biting adventure of harness racing (live &
simulcast). For your added enjoyment, Point Edward Casino offers the Boathouse restaurant
and is designed to be reminiscent of a steamer dining room and during the summer features
an outdoor full service patio/bar overlooking the St. Clair River. Hiawatha Horse Park offers
a licensed cafeteria style dining & live musical entertainment in Reflections Restaurant &
Lounge. Additional gaming opportunities are available with the choice of 3 bingo halls.
Cruising:
Cast off with us under the watchful eye of the Captain and his crew as you set sail for an
unforgettable cruise down the scenic St. Clair River and Southern Lake Huron. You can
board the new Duc d'Orleans II with two full decks for a two-hour luncheon or dinner cruise
including a detailed commentary of the sights along the way. Sharing the waters with the
Duc d' Orleans II is the 96-foot Macassa Bay comfortably accommodating up to 190
passengers on two spacious decks. Both boat tours offer delicious meals, licensed bar &
entertainment options.
Theatre: Experience live theatre at its finest at Victoria Playhouse Petrolia, in the heart of
the Oil Heritage District or at the beautifully restored Imperial Theatre in Sarnia’s Riverfront

unique outdoor theatres, Huron Country Playhouse, located just 2 km. east of Grand Bend &
