SCHOOL NEWS AND MUCH MORE!
Thanks to those students and their families who participated in the Family Activity event for our February
Healthy, Active Lifestyles event. Ten of our participating students took home some really great prizes. Our
March Healthy, Active Lifestyle event will focus on nutrition as it is national Nutrition Month. Again, we will
be asking the families to help their children with the event. (Do you sense a theme here?-Family Fun night in
January, Family Activities in February and families focusing on nutrition in March).
Our grade 7 and 8 basketball teams are getting ready for the conclusion of the basketball season. On
Wednesday, March 2, the girls’ teams will travel to Forrest for the annual divisional tournament and the
boys teams will compete in Minnedosa. The games will start at 1:00. Good luck to coaches Rapsky, Brown,
Muirhead, Potter and all the teams.
Grade 7 and 8 badminton will start mid-March. Sign-up sheets will be posted as soon as basketball is over.
Intramural basketball is also reaching its conclusion, with playoffs under way. Grades K-1 will continue to
have open gym on Day 4 at noon, and grades 2 & 3 have various activities at noon on Day 3.
Have a great Spring Break everyone!
