United Metal Fabricators, Inc. was founded in 1956
by Joseph Romano, Sr. in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
Initially, UMF produced specialty furniture for a few
select customers. However, as a result of superb
craftsmanship and personal service, demand for our
products grew and UMF quickly positioned itself
as a leader and innovator in the medical equipment
industry.
For over 50 years, we have worked diligently to
maintain our position as a leader and innovator in the
industry. Whether you needed new products, or
revisions to existing products, UMF has listened. As a
result, we now offer over 200 of the most dependable
and innovative products on the market.
All of our 4000 Series power procedure tables and
chairs come with a redesigned base that incorporates
a more modern design with our time proven quality
and industry leading 600 pound patient weight
capacity. Our 5000 Series power procedure/exam
tables also offer the same new base and an industry
standard patient weight capacity of 400 pounds.
We have also introduced a new manual exam table,
model #5240, with reversible drawers and a reversible
side step option to allow flexibility of room layout
without having to specify a left handed or right
handed table when an order is placed. Additionally,
the weight capacity of our bariatric tables has been
increased from 600 pounds to 800 pounds and we
have introduced five new fabric and accent colors to
our product lineup.
