We start our journey in Olso, through the outstanding scenery of Norway’s Western Fjords, and across the Arctic
Circle to enjoy a taste of Summer in “The Land of the Midnight Sun”. This is a Norway tour “par excellence” Normal
summer weather is warm, with long sunny days and nights!
This tour includes a variety of centres at the heart of the spectacular Western Fjords: the art nouveau town of
Ålesund in addition to both Bodo and the Lofoten Islands, north of the Arctic Circle. We journey using both coach
and cruises on some of the magnificent fjords.
The beautiful Lofoten Islands lie to the west of Norway’s northern coast. Famed for the dramatic wall of mountains
that forms the Lofotens, these Islands are an awesome treat. They offer a very scenic and authentic view of life in the
far north and the nights spent here, in traditional fisherman’s cabins, are sure to be a lasting memory for many years.
Bodo also lies in the county of Nordland, and is approximately 130 km north of the Arctic Circle.
Both Fauske and the Lofoten Islands boast long bright nights from the end of April until mid August. At latitude
67.3° the upper edge of the midnight sun is visible from around May 30th until approx. July 12th.
