FondazioneTuratiwasfoundedin1966andisonetheoldestrehabilitationorganizationsinItaly.The
facilityinZagarolowasopenedin2012andincludes40rehabilitationbedsand60extendedcarebeds.
Thereisalsoaanoutpatientrehabilitationservice.Thecenter’smedicaldirectorisaphysiatrist.
Orthopedists,cardiologists,andotherspecialistsprovideservicesinregularlyscheduledclinics.The
FondazioneisaccreditedtoproviderehabilitationservicesandoperatesundercontractwiththeItalian
MinistryofHealth.

TheclinicaleducationexperienceiscoordinatedbyLindaBartalesi,aphysicaltherapistwitha
specializationinmanualtherapy,whohasworkedwithEduglobalAssociatessince2006.Thephysical

therapistsservingasClinicalInstructorsspeakEnglish.Severaltherapistshavespecializedin
neurologicalrehabilitationororthopedicmanualtherapy.
TheFondazione’sphysicalplantis11,000squaremetersonamulti-acrecampus,panoramicallysituated
onahillabovethetownofZagarolo.Attentiontoarchitecturaldetailmakesthismodernfacilityoneof
Italy’smostaccommodatingandcomfortableforpatients.

NeurologicalpatientsadmittedtotheFondazioneincludethosewithstroke,multiplesclerosis,
parkinsonism,andneurodegenerativediseases.TheFondazioneprovidesrehabilitationservicesfor

orthopedicpatientswithtotaljointreplacement,admittingthemimmediatelypost-surgery.Thereare
alsopatientswhohavehadamputationsandtraumaticinjuriesduetoaccidents,andpatientswithneck
andbackpainofmanyetiologies.TheFondazionetreatsorthopedicoutpatients,emphasizingexercise,
aquatictherapy,andorthopedicmanualtherapyformusculoskeletaldisorders.
