Six children are transformed into Hero Squad cadets and undergo a rigorous training programme alongside real life-savers.
Under the watchful eyes of presenter Rav Wilding and closely supervised by experienced mentors, these six wannabe heroes
have the experience of a lifetime. Our brave recruits work alongside the emergency and rescue services of the Royal National
Lifeboard Institution, HM Coastguard, Fire Service and Mountain Rescue. In just 48 hours, the Hero Squad cadets have to
learn the skills and techniques in order to cope with a ‘real life’ rescue scenario. This sees our teams dealing with a man
overboard at sea, casualties on a cliff, fires, civilians lost on the mountains or injured in caves. Can the Hero Squad cadets
master the skills of their adult counterparts and prove that kids are capable of saving lives?

increasingly opting to use her power chair. Over a two-year period we follow Charlotte and her parents who travel to the
USA on a quest for new prosthetics, face impending surgery and intensive rehab, delight in Charlotte’s sporting successes
and help her deal with being different. ‘Team Charlotte’ are finally positive that Charlotte’s future is up on her legs.
Charlotte: My Story is a compelling, heartfelt documentary showing how the courage, determination and spirit of
an eight-year-old girl can overcome the seemingly insurmountable challenges life has thrown her way.
