Finest-ever RMS Granularity of 7 * for a Black-and-White Film
Realized by Fujifilm Super Fine- (Sigma) Grain Technology
Data: F8 1/8
*As of Feb. 2001
Neopan 100 ACROS film further develops Fujifilm's existing Sigma Crystal Technology and Super Uniform Fine Grain Technology
by greatly increasing the amount of light captured by the film grains and more effectively utilizing the absorbed light.
This new film uses Fujifilm's newly developed Super Fine- (Sigma) Grain Technology to overcome the problems of reduced
sensitivity that occur with ultra-fine grains, thus creating high resolution and ultra-fine granularity. Fujifilm achieves the world's
highest standard in grain quality while attaining excellent intensity reciprocity characteristics.
Finer grains bring out the natural beauty of skin
Rich tones that are sure to attract attention
Clearly defined sharpness and contrast
Even finer and smoother - the new Neopan 100 ACROS achieves the finest granularity of any ISO
100 black-and-white film. It is able to reproduce even the most delicate skin tones. This, coupled
with its outstanding shadow detail reproduction, broadens the range of photographic expression.
Neopan 100 ACROS reproduces details of highlights and shadow areas more smoothly. Halftones are
also captured naturally throughout, creating a rich, three-dimensional depth. With its wider exposure
latitude, Neopan 100 ACROS is easy to use and allows outstanding tone reproduction over a wide range
of subjects.
In addition to its fine granularity and rich tones, Neopan 100 ACROS also produces higher levels of
sharpness. Its clear definition captures the finest details and its realistic portrayal of textures is outstanding.
The contrast required by black-and-white photography has been greatly improved by Neopan 100 ACROS
allowing clear and faithful capturing of the differences in light and darkness of the photographic subject.

New Solution Utilizing Fujifilm's State-of-Art Fine Chemicals Technology
The Smooth, High-quality Images Resulting from Fujifilm's Many Years of Technical Development
Super Fine- (Sigma) Grain Technology
realizes the finest granularity
Neopan 100 ACROS introduces Fujifilm's new Super Fine- (Sigma) Grain Technology, a
silver halide emulsion technology that has been accomplished through further development
of Fujifilm's existing Sigma Crystal Technology and Super Uniform Fine Grain Technology.
This new technology gives ACROS the finest granularity of any ISO 100 black-and-white
negative film. Grain has been made even finer and smoother, greatly improving sharpness
and tones, and allowing the creation of realistic images that have three-dimensional depth.
The even size and spacing of the ultra-fine grain structure maintains the smooth, high-quality
appearance even when printing display size enlargements. The film has outstanding low
illumination intensity failure characteristics. This allows one to effectively utilize sensitivity
without losing detail.
Precision Iodine Distribution Control
(P.I.D.C.) Technology keeps Processing
Simple while Ensuring Stable Quality
Neopan 100 ACROS uses Fujifilm's Precision Iodine Distribution Control Technology to
precisely control the iodine distribution of the silver halide emulsion. This means that, in
spite of its finely grained nature, the film may be developed using general black and white
developers and standard, simple processing. Furthermore, this super-fine grain film can
achieve stable image quality by using a variety of popular developers. Neopan 100 ACROS
produces high-grade, outstanding quality black-and-white photographs under a wide range
of development conditions; a new imaging solution from Fujifilm developed using the latest
chemical technology.
High image quality and easy handling through Fujifilm's unique state-of-art technology
Outstanding performance using
ultra-fine grain technology
Simple and stable processing
characteristics
Neopan 100 ACROS film achieves the finest
granularity of any ISO 100 black-and-white film
using Fujifilm's original, newly developed Super
Fine- (Sigma) Grain Technology based on an
ultra-fine grain silver halide emulsion. The new
film reproduces rich tones from highlights through
shadow areas, producing sharp images revealing
the finest textural details of any subject.
Using Fujifilm's original Precision Iodine
Distribution Control Technology, stable
processing quality can be obtained utilizing easyto-use standard process developing and fixing
times. Various processes are used to prevent the
occurrence of variations in developer
performance and developer streaks during
processing, and stable operation is assured even
with automatic processing. Neopan 100 ACROS
is also appropriate for use with high-speed
automatic developers, offering outstanding
processing characteristics.
