Base metal finely satined buffed, gently hand rubbed with a
darkening agent. A coat of clear lacquer or clear powder coat
is applied to protect the finish.
Base metal polished to a high lustre and then buffed using
jeweler’s rouge. Finish is clear-coated to prevent oxidation.
Except for the following finishes, the base metal is the same as
the finished surface metal:
– Polished nickel finish is nickel electroplated
over brass, bronze or copper base metal.

Product prices are NET, not “suggested”

Ordering
The following specifications are required
on all orders prior to production.

Standards
For stem hung fixtures, HOA (height
overall) includes fixture, stem and canopy.
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Most of our wall sconces comply
with the ADA requirements for public
accessibility at any mounting height.
Other wall sconces must be mounted at
minimum mounting heights to comply.
Product Safety Assurance
All products have been tested and
found in compliance by Underwriters
Laboratory (UL) or an equivalent
nationally recognized testing laboratory.
Damp location fixtures are suitable
for installation in: interior locations
protected from weather but subject
to moderate degrees of moisture, such
as bathrooms; or protected locations
under canopies, marquees and roofed
open porches.
Wet location fixtures are suitable for
installation where the fixture is subject
to saturation with water or other liquids,
or where the fixture is mounted in an
unprotected location and directly subjected to the weather.
Canadian Standards Certification (CSA)
Many products are UL certified to meet
CSA standards. Contact Client Services
for details.

de f i n i t i o n s
Lamping
All fixtures are wired for standard USA
nominal voltage. For voltages other than
110/120 or 277 volt, please contact
Client Services. Lamps are not included with orders except where noted.
Maximum wattages and recommended
lamp types have been provided.
LED (Light Emitting Diodes)
LED lamping provides energy savings,
high efficiency, long-life and superb
color temperature. LED fixtures include
all lamp components.
Fluorescent Ballasts
All of our fluorescent fixtures use electronic ballasts. In some cases the ballast
may require a remote installation. Please
note that some remote ballasts must be
located no more than five feet from the
furthest lamp holder. Please contact
your electrical engineer or contractor
for proper remote ballast placement and
specifications.
Dimming
Many of our LED and fluorescent fixtures are available with a dimming option
at an upcharge. For pricing, please contact Client Services with the specification
of the dimming control system being
used.
Credit and Terms
If you are qualified to purchase and
do not have an existing account with
Kentfield or you have not yet established credit with us, your first order will
be on a proforma basis (50% deposit
to start production, 50% due prior
to shipment). If you wish to establish
credit, please contact your representative for a credit application. We use Dun
& Bradstreet and Trade Management
Services for additional credit resources.
If you are approved for an open account,
our terms are Net 30 days from the date
of shipment. There may be deposits
required on specific orders. Interest and
storage fees may apply to outstanding
invoices and orders. A $25.00 fee will be
charged on all returned checks. Credit
terms are subject to change without prior
notification.
Returns
No returned merchandise will be accepted without prior written authorization
and it must be packed with the same
wrappings which were originally used, if
available.
If unsatisfactorily packed and if a freight
claim cannot be made, you will be
charged for repair and replacement of
the damaged parts. A minimum restock
ing charge of 30% plus packaging costs
will be made on all authorized returns
for credit. Each request will be evaluated
independently and specific restocking
charges may be higher.
Claims
All lamps and fixtures are shipped free
of defects. If there is any loss or damage, concealed or otherwise, please notify
your freight agent as well as Kentfield
immediately. For shipments made by
common carrier, claims for damage must
be made directly to the carrier; for UPS
damage, an inspection must be filed with
UPS within 10 days of receipt of merchandise to allow for a replacement at
no charge.
Warranty
One year product guarantee to the
reseller: Kentfield warrants to the
reseller, for one year only, from date of
purchase that its products are free from
defects of material or workmanship.
Kentfield’s obligation is expressly limited to the repair or replacement of the
fixture, only after prior written authorization has been granted. This warranty shall
not apply to products which have been
altered or repaired outside our factory or
without our knowledge, nor shall it apply
to costs incurred in the installation of
warranted products. This warranty is in
lieu of all other warranties, expressed or
implied, and without limiting the generality of the foregoing phrase, excludes
any implied warranty of merchantability. Also, there are no warranties which
extend beyond the descriptions of the
product on the company’s literature setting forth the terms of sale.
