This pamphlet contains important information related to installation,
use and proper maintenance. Read the instructions and warnings in
this document carefully, and keep it for future reference.
The packaging for this product should be kept out of the reach of
children in order to avoid possible danger.
Prior to use, check to see that the instrument is not damaged. If
you find a fault, please contact Customer Service.
Used batteries are not to be disposed of in regular trash, as they
contain poisonous chemicals. Used batteries should be placed in the
special disposal receptacles for this purpose.
The manufacturer is not responsible for any gush of water caused
by improper use or by usage not in accordance with manufacturer
instructions as described in this pamphlet.

3. Preparing the System
3.2 Connecting the Taps to the Controller
3.1 Installing the Controller onto the Irrigation System
Install the controller (4) on the irrigation system, with a filter (2)
[not supplied] placed between the controller and the main tap (1).
Twist the water entry of the hydraulic tap (3) [on the side without
the arrow] to the filter. Connect the water line to the water exit of
the tap, marked with an arrow (5), using the appropriate connector.

In order for the hydraulic taps to work, the cables extending from
each tap have to be connected to the controller. Connection of the
cables:
1.Remove the white sticker which is attached to the end of each
cable coming out of the controller.
2.Attach the connectors at the ends of the cables. Before
attaching, ensure that the red rubber washer (9) is threaded and
is located on the connector at the end of the cable coming out from the tap (8). When the connectors are being attached,
place the protrusion and the groove at the bottom of the
connector so that they face each other.

4.2 Main Display
4.4 Independent Irrigation Program for Each Tap
If no button has been pressed for two minutes, the controller will
automatically change to the main display, which will show current
time, with the sign

4.4.1 Setting Irrigation Time for Each of the Three Taps:

4.3 Adjustment of Current Date
In order for the controller to operate the irrigation system at the
desired times, the present date and time must first be set.
The controller can work on a 24 hour schedule, or on a 12 hour
schedule (note the AM/PM indicators). To switch between the
two methods, press the

For easier programming and easier access to the controller,
disconnect the controller from its base by firmly pulling it up in a
rotational movement from the upper part of the mechanical
handle.

4.4.2 Setting Irrigation Day for Each of the Three Taps:
1. Press the

display next to “day of irrigation”.
2. Select the tap for which you wish to set the day of irrigation.

4.4.3 Setting Time for Start of Irrigation
Four different starting times can be set by this action
(START I-IV). The irrigation time is set for all start times
and will continue according to the parameters set on the
controller.
There can be an overlap between starting times, with the
possibility to program tap opening times such that there
will be an overlap of irrigation times between two or more
opening hours.
This option allows for irrigation in the morning of 30
minutes, in the afternoon irrigation of 45 minutes (by
overlap), and 30 minutes in the evening.

4.5 Defining a Sequential Opening
The controller allows defining Taps 2 and 3 as sequential taps,
which will open when the tap before it completes its irrigation.

4.6 Closing Taps by Computer
4.7 Manual Computerized Operation
The controller allows you to close each tap in a computerized
manner.

In this operation, it is possible to operate the taps instantly
for a determined time set by the program. The taps will close
automatically after the determined time ends. Note that the original
program that was set will continue to operate in accordance with
the times set, and the next cycle will start as set.

in main display mode.

In order to again return the taps to operation, the days of
irrigation must be re-established, as described above.
Note:
If Tap 1 is programmed as OFF and Tap 2 is programmed as
SErL, neither one will open automatically.
If Tap 2 is programmed as OFF and Tap 3 is programmed as
SErL, neither one will open automatically.
If Tap 1 is programmed as OFF and Taps 2 and 3 are both
programmed as SErL, none of the three will open automatically.

4.8 Displaying Time Remaining Until Tap Closes
Example: The controller is in rainoff mode.
When the tap is opened by the controller, the tap symbol and
programmed irrigation time will be displayed. The irrigation time
will count down to 00:00, and as soon as the tap closes, the
display will return to the main display.
If two or three taps are open at the same time, the remaining
time will be shown in 3 second intervals – 3 seconds for Tap 1,
3 seconds for Tap 2 and 3 seconds for Tap 3, and will be
repeated again and again. The drop symbol will appear above
the tap whose remaining time is being displayed.

5.Maintenance
4.10 Manual Mechanical Operation
It is possible to open and close the irrigation tap regardless of the
controller operation. This condition is useful if one wants to irrigate
immediately and one doesn’t have enough time or knowledge
necessary to program the controller, or if there is no battery.
Manual operation is performed by turning the grey handle located
at the bottom section of the seat.
To open: Turn the operating handle counter-clockwise.
To close: Turn the operating handle clockwise until it reaches the
position where the handle is located above the black leg of the tap.
Note: The manual operating handle cannot close the tap while
the tap is being operated by the irrigation controller.
Remember! To irrigate using the controller, the tap must be in
AUTO mode.

Remove the battery when the controller is idle for an extended
time.
It is required to install a filter in front of the controller and to
clean it out every few months. A filter which is not clean is an
opening for problems.
The battery will last at least one year (alkaline battery).
Recommended water presser is up to 8 atmosphere (Bar).
5.1 Warning of a Weak Battery
When a battery becomes weak a flashing battery symbol
will appear on the display. In this condition there is still enough
limited energy to operate the tap, but the battery should be
replaced as soon as possible. If the battery is not replaced, the
controller will open the tap only 7 times, after which everything
will be wiped off the display except for the batter symbol and the
word OFF. The battery can be changed in one minute without
losing the program.

LIMITED WARRANTY CERTIFICATE
1.
Galcon shall, for a limited period of 36 months from the
retail purchase date of the original (first) purchaser (“the
Warranty Period”), provide limited warranty for the
Products, as provided for and subject to the provisions and
limitations of this Limited Warranty Certificate.
2.
Galcon’s Warranty for the Product only extends to the
original purchaser of the Product (“the Customer”) who,
upon requesting warranty service, must present Galcon
with a valid purchase receipt. Failure to produce the said
documentation will result in the request for warranty being
null and void.
3.
GALCON warrants to the Customer that the Product
shall materially conform to the description in Galcon’s
documentation and shall be free from defects in material
and workmanship. Accordingly, Customer’s sole and
exclusive remedy under this warranty is the repair or – to
Galcon’s sole discretion – the replacement of the Product
or any part\s according to the terms of this Warranty, and
no other remedy shall be available. Therefore, if - within
the Warranty Period - the Product is proven to be defective
by reason of faulty workmanship or materials by Galcon,
Galcon undertakes, with reasonable promptness, to have
the defective Product (or any part/s thereof) repaired, or
at Galcon’s discretion, replaced; All subject to the terms
and conditions of this Limited Warranty Certificate.
4.
Galcon’s warranty for the Product or otherwise shall
not apply to any of the following: (i) any conduct (by act
or omission) not by Galcon, including any misuse/
abuse of any Product (or part/s thereof), and/or any
failure to install and/or use any Product in full compliance
with Galcon’s instructions; (ii) other systems/components/
devices/technologies and/or the integration/interface
thereof with any Product; (iii) any part/component which
has been included/installed in any Product not at Galcon’s
approval and/or other than by Galcon; (iv) any actual or
attempted change/repair/interference of/with any Product
(including any use/handling of, and/or interference/dealing
with, any code of any software included/used in the
Product) other than by Galcon; (v) any data/information/
content which has been inserted/included in a Product;
(vi) malfunction or damage resulting from accidents, which

occur during transit and/or handling, and/or malfunction
or damage due to fire, earthquake, flood, lightning and/
or any other external disaster; (vii) unforeseen accidents,
wear and tear, or any other external factors beyond
Galcon’s reasonable control, or to any Product installed,
repaired, adjusted, rebuilt, modified, changed or converted
by any person (including the Customer) other than Galcon;
5.
In addition and without derogating from the provisions
of this Warranty, Galcon’s warranty is conditioned upon
the all of the following taking place: (i) Customer’s
operating and maintaining the Product in accordance with
Galcon’s instructions; (ii) Customer’s not being in default
of any payment obligation to the Galcon (or its authorized
dealer, as relevant).
6.
Galcon does not give any warranty or guarantee
whatsoever in respect of any Product (or any part/s
thereof) which has not been manufactured and distributed
by the Galcon and which has not been purchased from the
Galcon or any of its authorized dealers, whether such
products are branded with any trademarks similar to any
trademark belonging to or used by Galcon.
7.
After replacement or repair of the Product, the Warranty
for the new or repaired Product shall be valid only for
the non-expired period of the original Warranty Period.
Any defective Products or part/s, which has been replaced,
shall become Galcon’s property.
8.
Galcon reserves the right to charge the Customer if any
warranty service is requested and carried out but no fault
is found in the Product or if such defect/fault is not under
Galcon’s Warranty.
9. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, Galcon shall not
be responsible and/or liable, under any circumstances
and in any way, for any loss, damage, costs, expenses,
expenditures, responsibility and/or liability (including
of Customer and/or any third party) – including (without
limitation) direct and/or indirect (including incidental and/
or special and/or consequential), however arising,
including in respect of damages to or loss of property
and/or equipment, loss of profit, loss of use, loss of
revenue or damages to business or reputation, whether or
not based on breach of contract, tort (including

negligence), product liability or otherwise - arising from
the performance or non-performance of any aspect of the
Product or any part thereof; All of the above, whether or
not Galcon and/or the Customer shall have been made
aware of the possibility of such loss.
10. In any event, any liability which Galcon may have in
connection with the Product and/or this Warranty,
including (without limitation) in connection with and/or
resulting from the Product (or any part thereof) and the
use thereof, shall be limited to a total amount (for all
damages, claims and causes of action in the aggregate)
equal to the consideration actually received by Galcon
from the Customer for the Product. The limitations shall
apply whether the liability is based on contract, tort, strict
liability or any other theory.
11. This Warranty and the remedies set forth herein are
exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, remedies
and conditions, whether oral, written, statutory, express
or implied. Galcon specifically disclaims any and all
statutory or implied warranties, including, without
limitation, warranties of merchantability and fitness for
a particular purpose and warranties against hidden or
latent defects.
12. The Customer shall be solely responsible for the selection,
use, efficiency and suitability of the Product(s).
13. The provisions of this Limited Warranty Certificate shall
be interpreted and governed, solely and exclusively,
pursuant to the laws of the State of Israel, and no other
law shall apply. Any and all legal actions shall be litigated
within the jurisdiction of the courts of Israel, and no other
jurisdiction shall apply.
