Wenn ich mich zurück erinnere,
an dieses erste Kennenlernen...
damals, als es so dicht schneite, dass
die Landschaft wie mit einer dicken
Watteschicht überzogen war ... seit
damals kehre ich immer wieder hierher
zurück, auch heute, Jahre später.
Welche Ruhe und Behaglichkeit, denke
ich mir, während mich das Lichtspiel
an der Wasseroberfläche des neuen,
wunderschönen Hallenbades in seinen
Bann zieht ...

When I look back and remember
that first meeting ... when the snow
fell so thickly that nature seemed to lie
under a dense blanket of cotton wool ...
even now, years later, I continue to
return to this spot.
Ease and comfort: those are the words
that come to mind as I gaze enchanted
at the play of light on the watery
surface of the glorious new indoor
swimming pool ...
Die Harmonie von Wasser, Stein,
Glas, Farbe und Licht zieht sich durch
die großzügige Badelandschaft bis
hinein in den „Klangdom“. Die
Architektur integriert sich gefühlvoll
in die Landschaft: von der rund
500 m 2 großen Halle aus kann man
von einer der 30 Liegen oder direkt
beim Schwimmen die Gipfel der
Leoganger Steinberge sehen.
My glance wanders from the
anthracite-grey slate walls across
the terrace to the garden.
The calm which pervades this
place extends to the fringe of
trees high up on the mountain.
The harmony of water, stone,
glass, colour and light runs like
a thread through the extensive
bathing complex and into the
‘temple of sound’. The architecture
has been sensitively integrated
into the landscape: The peaks of
the Leogang mountains can
be seen as you relax on one of
the 30 loungers in the hall
(measuring around 500 m2), or
as you swim in the pool.
And sometimes life is a dream – and the day but a game. I
love the game of life ... and the new lightness of being.

of forms, exclusive materials, numerous details and extravagant
frescoes, he has achieved a new poetry of the senses.

Old Indian Yellow, saffron,
French ochre, purple, Dragon’s
Blood, ultramarine, indigo, real
sepia or old Frankfort black –
each suite reveals its unique
effect in an interplay with
old materials from Indonesia,
India, China, Africa and, of
course, our own Salzburg region!
Jede der 23 Suiten erzählt ihre eigene
Geschichte und verbindet Okzident
mit Orient. Purpur, Ultramarin und
Vanille – drei Beispiele, die unterschiedlicher nicht sein könnten.
Die vier Purpur-Suiten sind intensiv
und anregend wie die Liebe: antike
orientalische Türstöcke, seltene
Nomadenteppiche aus der Sahara,
200 Jahre alte heimische Holzdecken
und schwere Rosenholzböden. Mit
Stoffen aus purpur- und rotfarbenen
Samten und Seiden schafft der
Künstler eine wohlige Eleganz.

Each of the 23 suites tells its own
story and combines the Occident with
the Orient. Purple, ultramarine and
vanilla – three examples which could
not be more different.
The four Purple Suites are as intense
and exciting as love itself: Antique
oriental doorframes, rare nomads’
carpets from the Sahara, 200-year-old
Austrian timber ceilings and heavy
rosewood floors. Thanks to velvets
and silks in purples and reds, the
artistic decor is both cosy and elegant.

Die Ultramarin-Suiten (Bild rechts) vermitteln
unbeschreibliche Ruhe. Farblich an Seegras, Himmel,
Wasser und sonnenbeschienenes Olivenholz
angelehnt, bringen durchsichtige Seidenstoffen und
Wandmalereien aus echtem Türkis, Lapis und
Indischgelb die Harmonie zur Vollendung.
Die zweigeschoßigen Vanille-Suiten (oben) zeigen
spielerisch den „weiblichen“ Zugang zum Leben.
Seltene Hochzeitsteppiche in Rot und Weiß und
echte Termitenbäume aus Afrika stehen im
Einklang mit zarten Safran- und Rosé-Tönen.
Der geräumige Wohn-Schlafraum ist mit hellen
Sandsteinen gemauert. Die Bäder sind durch eigens
entwickelte Glasbausteine vom Wohnraum
abgegrenzt und mit edlen Glasfliesen, seltenen
Hölzern und Schiefer ausgestattet.
The Ultramarine Suites (pictured on the right) exude
a sense of indescribable calm. The room takes its
colour cues from seaweed, blue skies, water
and sun-bleached olivewood, while translucent silks
and frescoes using real turquoise, lapiz and Indian
Yellow complete the sense of harmony.
The two-story Vanilla Suites (above) provide a playful
take on the ‘feminine’ approach to life. Rare wedding
carpets in red and white, together with genuine
African termite trees, harmonise with muted saffron
and rose shades.
The spacious living/sleeping area has pale sandstone walls. The bathrooms are separated from the
living area by specially designed glass bricks, and
fitted with exclusive glass tiles, rare woods and slate.
