Buyer) shall be provided.
An in-cell lifting capability not less than
1000 pounds shall be provided.
In addition to the penetrations required
for installation of the MTS and
INSTRON equipment, no less than 2
replaceable feed through penetration
ports shall be provided.
In-cell storage shall be provided below
the work table surface for interim
storage of source terms stored in two

The internal volume of the modular hot cell
shall be 144 inches wide, 100” high, and 72
inches deep.
An in-cell lifting capability not less than 1000
pounds shall be provided.
Two work stations (4 manipulators, CRL or
Buyer approved equivalent) shall be
incorporated into the cell.
The design of the cell shall include the ability
to potentially partition between the two work
stations.
In-cell storage shall be provided below the
work table surface for interim storage of
source terms stored in shielded containers.
Sample storage shall be easily accessed.
One work station (farthest from the
maintenance access door) will be provided
with a work table that covers approximately
50% of the station work area (split front to
back) of the cell.
3The cell design shall include a minimum of
5 replaceable feed through penetration
ports.

 SOME ISSUES WITH

TESTING…

How many times should you replace a
piece of glass before checking for fabrication
issues?
ANSWER: Seven, because QC said it was according to print.
Turns out the best way to pressure a box to 150 Pa
Isn’t with a nitrogen bottle and industrial regulator.
