Our office has been informed that One Million Degrees (OMD) is now accepting
applications for the 2014-2015 OMD Signature Scholarship Program. Any student
who plans to enroll full-time for the entire 2014-2015 academic year at any of the
City Colleges of Chicago, College of Lake County, Harper College, Prairie State
College, or South Suburban College should apply. Applicants must be U.S. citizens
or legal permanent residents with a minimum GPA of 2.0.

The early admission deadline for the OMD Signature Scholarship Program is
February 28, 2014. The final deadline is April10, 2014. In most cases, individuals
applying by the early admission deadline will have earlier interview dates and will
be notified of selection earlier.

attend a mandatory Information Session on Thursday, February 13 from 2-3 p.m.
in the Learning Achievement Center, room 1140. To reserve a spot at the

The representative from OMD said that two PSC students have been very
successful OMD scholars in the past and would really like to see more applicants

for the 2014-2015 OMD Signature Scholarship Program. All students planning to attend the City
Colleges of Chicago, College of Lake County, Harper College, Prairie State College, or South Suburban
College for the 2014-2015 academic year should apply now! Together, we've got this.
Students selected as OMD Scholars will benefit from comprehensive supports, including:
Tuition assistance and a stipend to defray costs associated with attending college

Monthly workshops focused on professional development, financial literacy, and civic engagement

Academic, professional, and personal guidance from OMD staff and a coach
•
Free, private tutoring sessions held on campus

A supportive community of scholars and advisors
