Thank you for writing to the Coles County Sheriff's Office with your request for information
pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140/1 et seq .
On Monday, February 03, 2014, you requested the following documents:
1. Copy of all court orders transferring weapons to the Sheriff' s Office, specifically the
orders I am seeking pertain to each of the weapons listed in the response to my
previous FOIA dated November 13, 2013.
2. Copy of Illinois State Statute authorizing the sale
I trade of weapons by the Coles County
Sheriff' s Office.
Your request is granted. We have enclosed the documents that you requested. In keep ing with
the copying fees allowed by the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140/6(b), the cost of

Coles County Sheriffs Office;
And said properties being described as follows: That a certain items of evidence were
seized as evidence previously herein, being:
One, (1), Marlin, model 60, .22 cal long rifle, serial# 15417707, One, (1), tan cloth rifle
case, Eleven,. (11), .22 cal rifle cartridges, One, (1), vector scale, 1bree, (3), plastic bags,
and a light bulb with methamphetamine residue within, One, (1), pipe with Cannabis
residue within;
And the Court having found that disposition has been reached in the above entitled
cause; the confiscated properties are no longer needed for evidentiary purposes, and no
legitimate claim has been made for such properties,
THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED AND DECREED that pursuant to Illinois Complied
Statues, Chapter 720, Act 5, Section 24-6, said properties are forfeited to the Coles
County Sheriff's Office, who shall proceed to dispose of them in accordance with
Department policy.
