CD, RANDELL MORELAND
"A driver that is employed with Horizon West out of Irvington, AL called
in and complimented Randell Moreland. They were both at the truck-stop
in SC today and he was trying to get his tarp and bungees on the load but
with the wind blowing he was having a VERY difficult time. He said Randell
came over and was very polite and offered to help him. Randell helped him
get his load tarped and this driver was very appreciative."
We will be changing vendors for fuel cards. As you go into
the terminal you will be given a new card that is not active.
We will go active as a fleet and you will receive a message to
make you aware of the go live date. We will start a test trial soon.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Electronic Logging Devices
Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) are on the way. Effective December 16, 2017
E-Logs will be part of your daily routine. Hornady Transportation will be 100%
compliant by June 30, 2017. This will give everyone several months to become
proficient in the use of ELD's.
To transition into this new mandate we will ask new drivers to go electronic. Drivers
that do not send in their logs on time and show up on the late log report will be
placed on the ELD. Drivers that receive HOS and Unsafe Driving violations during
a DOT inspection will be placed on the ELD. Drivers that receive more than 5 major
log violations in a calendar month, during a company audit will be placed on the ELD.
Your Service Planners and Safety personnel will be asking you to volunteer to go
active on the ELD. If you have any questions, contact the Safety Department.
