“Auch wenn Dagmar und Thomas Helmbold beim Malen Philosophie und
Poesie, Musik und Literatur, Geschichte und Gegenwart gleichermaßen
im Kopf haben, sobald sie als Bild ins Bild ziehen, geschieht das nicht
intentional, sondern prozessual. Als Idee beim Malen, nicht als Idee vor
dem Malen. Die Gedanken entwickeln sich aus dem Machen heraus,
nicht das Machen aus den Gedanken. Genau dieser Ansatz macht die
Malerei der Helmbolds so vital und energetisch.”
