Freiwald: Advantages of Chamber Membership
If you’re reading this article, you
are likely either already a member
of the Camas-Washougal Chamber
of Commerce or considering becoming a valued member. Chambers offer the business community
connectivity, networking opportunities, education and visibility.
Chambers also create a positive
business environment which is the
foundation for a healthy community; contributing to job growth, education, and infrastructure and service availability.
According to a research study by The Schapiro
Group, Inc. and Market Street Services, when consumers know that a small business is a member of
their local Chamber of Commerce, there is a:
44% increase in its consumer favorability rate.
51% increase in consumer awareness.
57% increase in local reputation.
63% increase in the likelihood that consumers
will purchase goods or services from the
company in the future.
Chamber membership is an effective strategy for
business and the Camas-Washougal Chamber offers
numerous opportunities for you to be involved in the
community. Whether you are a long-time member,
new member, or potential member, I encourage you
to take the time to learn about the many benefits and
opportunities that the Chamber offers. Then I encourage you to get involved in some way. The time
you invest will be well worth it!
I feel privileged to have served as the Chamber president this past year. And, I’m excited to be turning
those reins over to Pamela Tuite’s capable hands
next month. Stay tuned to learn more about the
abundance of opportunities that await you this coming year. And, if you’re one of the potential members I mentioned at the beginning of this article, it’s
time to join us by calling (360) 834-2472.
