Members of Crestview High School’s Class of 2012 turn their tassels at the end of graduation
ceremonies on Saturday.
Crestview High School Class of 2012
Crestview High School held
its 52nd annual Baccalaureate
and Commencement Program in
the high school gymnasium for
the Class of 2012.
A total of 70 seniors
graduated during ceremonies
held Saturday evening in the
high school gymnasium. The
Rev. David Ray, pastor of
Jennings Road Church of Christ
in Van Wert and the father of
graaduating senior Josh Ray,
spoke to the class.
Other speakers included
honor students Matt Holden,
Layne Callow and Shelby
Minnich.
The choir sang “For Good”
with Danille Hancock directing.
Crestview Middle School
Principal Dave Bowen also
provided remarks to the class,
iin the absence of High School
Principal Mike Biro.
Outstanding Senior Awards
were presented by Bowen and
guidance counselor Kris Kill.
Winners this year were Holden
and Shelby Minnich.
Board members Pam
Motycka (president), John Auld
(vice president), Lonnie
Nedderman, Lori Bittner and
Mike Schlagbaum presented
diplomas to this year’s
graduating class, while Motycka
also had congratulatory remarks
for the seniors.
Treasurer Lori Metzger also
handed out several diplomas to
the children of friends and
relatives.
Those present also sang the
school alma mater and Student
Council President Frey gave
closing remarks before the
graduates tossed their
mortarboards and recessed
from the gymnasium.
