LRGH Nursery Guild Brochure

We hold an annual Diaper and Wipes Drive, through which
we collect diapers and wipes generously donated by our
community, and distribute them to area organizations
throughout the Lakes and Three Rivers Regions.

want to learn more about the LRGH Nursery Guild!
We pledge $1,000 each year to the LRGHealthcare Nursing
Education Fund.
We volunteer at local Child
Passenger Safety Seat Checks.
Who can become a member?
Membership is open to anyone who is interested
in the work of the Guild. There are two categories of membership, Active and Associate.
Active membership is for people who want to
have an active involvement in the Guild,
participating in meetings and events.
Associate Membership is for those who wish to
support the Guild but who cannot participate in
regular activities.
What is the LRGH Nursery Guild?
We provide funding for “Baby
Think it Over” dolls used in
local high schools to educate
teens on the challenges of
raising a baby.
The LRGH Nursery Guild has been supporting women’s and
children’s health initiatives in this region since 1956. Guild
members raise funds to help support the LRGH Family
Birthplace, Pediatrics and other local agencies. We sponsor
community programs related to parenting, maternal, and
child health.
We donated $2,000 to Westside
Healthcare in Franklin to help
purchase a piece of equipment
that checks the Bilirubin levels
in newborns with jaundice.

What kinds of
projects does the
Guild support?
We provide needed equipment and resources for the
LRGHealthcare Family
Birthplace, including the Family Birthplace Resource Room.
We support Pediatric services at both LRGH and FRH.
Through our Toy Closet program, each child who stays
overnight in the hospital may pick out a toy to play with
while in the hospital and take home. We also provide supplies
such as pajamas, DVD movies, craft items, games and much
more.
We purchase car beds for a loaner
program at LRGHealthcare. A car
bed is used when an infant’s breathing is compromised and he or she
cannot sit safely in a conventional
car seat.
How does the Guild raise funds?
Our semi-annual Baby/Child Boutique, held at the Laconia
Community Center each April and October, continues to be
our primary fundraising event. Each year, with the ongoing
hard work and dedication of our members, the Boutiques
continue to prosper. We have also held raffles for gift baskets
and many individual items over the years. We invest the
profits earned from all these efforts back into our community.
