Dear Parent,
Another year began in the annals of Indian history on August 15th when India and Indians once
again awoke to life and freedom. Once again it was time to rekindle the sense of patriotism and
the responsibility to fulfil our promise to Mother India very substantially. The students of Delhi
Public School unfurled a series of celebrations to commemorate freedom.

The month of August brought with it patriotic
fervour and the true sentiment of being a proud
Indian. To celebrate the auspicious occasion of
India’s 69th Independence Day, the tiny tots of

But together we are an Ocean”.

This very maxim made our India an Independent Country. The students of Class V celebrated
India’s 69th Independence Day through a ‘Poster Making’ contest on 14th August with the topic

curriculum designed by these countries where they justify their decision of partition projecting
the other country responsible for such an act. The session gave an opportunity to the students to
express their opinion and understand different perspectives of an issue which will help them in
