Otero Federal Credit Union’s 63rd Annual Meeting was held August 13th at the Sgt. Willie Estrada
Memorial Civic Center in Alamogordo. Every member in attendance received a vehicle windshield
sun shade that proudly displays OFCU’s logo, a chance at 1 of 50 door prizes and even a chance at cash
drawings. We hope to see you at our 64th Annual Meeting next August!
OFCU’s Board Of Directors will be dedicating the
Main Office building in memory of Juanita Whiteside
on Friday, October 14th, 2016.
Please join us at 1200 E. 10th street in Alamogordo,
for the ceremony beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Thank you Juanita, for over 37 years of dedicated
service to OFCU’s members and staff.
What is Deduct-A-Buck?
Deduct-A-Buck is a program adopted nationally by the
Credit Union National Association (CUNA) and the Credit
Union Legislative Action Council (CULAC), to involve
credit union members in the political process. OFCU
members are asked to consider a voluntary contribution of
$1 or more per quarter from their share or share draft
account for CULAC.
CULAC is responsible for making wise investments with
credit union members’ donations that help elect and re-elect
pro credit union candidates to Congress, and it ensures those
contributions are in compliance with Federal Election
Commission regulation.
Based on the simple premise that if we all give a little
it will add up to a lot, this high profile brings with it
opportunities and the task to maintain the momentum to
protect credit unions. The reality is that to maintain an
important voice, we must support those who have and will
support us.
Please take the time to fill out the Deduct-A-Buck
authorization form to the right and return it to any OFCU
Office. Together, we will continue to fight for credit unions.

volunteered at the event , and also participate to win a
balloon ride!
From September 6th to 14th, OFCU employees gathered
donations to support the Annual Miracle Jeans Day event.
Since its beginning, Miracle Jeans Day has raised millions of
dollars to fund lifesaving medical treatments for children.
OFCU employees were proud to support the “Wear Jeans
Help Kids” motto and trade their regular work attire for
