Smoosh
This is Asya, and she’s 16. She lives
with her three sisters and her parents
in Seattle, Washington. In her free time,
she plays soccer, watches TV, jumps
on her trampoline, and reads music
magazines like SPIN. Asya also plays in
a jazz band at school.
What makes Asya different? She’s already famous!
She plays in the pop / rock band Smoosh with her sister,
Chloe. Chloe is only 14. Asya sings – Chloe doesn’t sing
at all. Asya plays the piano and electric keyboard, too. She
also writes all of the songs. The songs are about things
around her. Asya doesn’t play
the drums – Chloe plays the
drums. Their new album is
Free to Stay.
Asya travels a lot for
concerts. She travels to
Sweden every year. Her
mother is from Sweden. When
she travels, she doesn’t go to
school. Her mom or her dad
teaches her. That’s very cool!
