PLAYER SPONSORSHIP PACKAGES All senior players are asked to do all they can to gain a player sponsorship for themselves. This season we have two options: 1. $150 package: A4 laminated card displayed in clubrooms with player name, sponsor name, sponsor contact details. Sponsor receives player photo and certificate of appreciation. 2. $200 package: Players receive our new training top (usually $35). A4 laminated card displayed in clubrooms with player name, sponsor name, sponsor contact details. Sponsor receives player photo and certificate of appreciation. Sponsor also receives official Mernda CC baseball cap. Justin Mercuri has worked hard putting this together, trying to come up with something for everyone so it would be great if we could show him support and get behind the initiative. For those of you who have already found a sponsor, we thank you and please find an invite for your sponsor to attend our sponsor’s night later in this newsletter. The club really appreciates any help players can give by way of seeking a sponsor so thank you for your hard work. NEW ADDITION TO THE FAMILY Congratulations to our assistant coach Stephen and his wife Kate on the safe arrival of their baby boy Hudson John Solyom on 25th September. We look forward to seeing him run around in the red and blue very soon. PUNTERS CLUB Like a bet on the horses? For just $10 a week you can be involved in our Punters Club. Betting begins this Saturday! To get involved, see Stu Wright. SATURDAY NIGHTS We would like to see an effort from all Senior players to get back to the clubrooms after you have finished up with your day out on the field. It’s a great way to share stories of the days play and support each other through the ups and downs of the season. SOCIAL REPORT We had a terrific turn out on Saturday at our first function with over 70 people packed into our rooms. There were plenty of smiles and the drinks flowed as prizes were won by the lucky few who were able to successfully complete the challenge at hand. A big thank you goes out to Amanda Dean and Shannon Mercuri for organising a great night. I’m sure all in attendance will be back at our next function.
