Sustainable Furniture is a Cornish family run business where we concentrate
on manufacturing quality and ethical products and providing honest and
prompt customer service at fair prices.
We stock our furniture in warehouses in the Fowey estuary region and use
mostly our own drivers to deliver promptly all over the UK. Please do not

Each table has an amazing individual
reclaimed teak root sculpture base, which is
sourced from the National Indonesian eco
programme, aimed to recultiviate
previously abandoned chopped native
forest areas. The individual root for each
of these table bases is excavated by a team
of eco enthusiasts, who wish to ensure the
continuity of the managed reforestation
program for their childrens’ future and to
sustain the economic viability of their
local community. There is no waste as the
offcuts from the teak roots are also recycled
to create dynamic individual designs for
mirrors, screens, jars and other sculpted
items including a stunning range of bowls
and unique root balls. The root tables
really are a remarkable marriage between
the modern practical bevel edged glass top
and the natural organic root base structure
to create a very unique and natural style.

Reclaimed Teak
Teak which has been reclaimed is generally more rustic textured and has naturally occuring defects through age and use. Our wood
has been sourced from Colonial buildings where the timber has aged and stabilised over many years enabling it to easily cope with
the modern rigours of every day use. There has been no attempt to disguise repairs to naturally occuring defects and this only adds
to the rustic charm. By your purchase of reclaimed products you eliminate the need to cut down living trees - which helps to preserve
natural forests and protect your environment. Old teak is a rapidly diminishing resource and this bespoke hand crafted reclaimed
furniture will not only hold its value but will be the collectable of the future.
