ABOUT PMC
INTRODUCTION
Founded in 1996, PMC Production is acknowledged as the first Cultural Business Venture and has
been leading the Korean Show-Biz market for more than 15 years. The performances that PMC
provides for the customers are not just products, but are packages of gifts. PMC’s objective is to
produce the best performances to ensure the audience that they are living in an era where hopes
and dreams are not overlooked.
PMC is the first company in Korea to introduce the 'professional producer system' to the market of
live performances and it has created a stable environment for productions. Based on this system,
PMC produces a variety of performances in different genres.
PMC endeavors to satisfy the “Needs” and “Wants” of its beloved customers and to provide them
with diverse live performances such as nonverbal performances like NANTA, which is a
representative cultural content of Korea.
Furthermore, PMC produces composed musicals, which catch the hearts of the audiences through
stories that suit Korean sentiments, works with licensed musicals, which bring the best Broadway
musicals into Korea, and also creates contents for children, which are brought down to the naive
level of children so that the whole family can enjoy.

1. NANTA
NANTA is a comic musical non-verbal performance derived from the traditional Korean instrumental
performance “Samulnori.” With the kitchen as the backdrop, knives and other kitchen utensils are
transformed into musical instruments in the hands of the chefs(performers). They thrill the audience with
acrobatic cooking shows, a surprise wedding ceremony, an exciting dumpling challenge, and a heartpounding drumming climax as the finale.
NANTA has been one of the most popular shows in Korea ever since it premiered in October 1997,
drawing the largest number of spectators in Korean theatre history. NANTA made its international debut
in 1999 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where it received an award for the best performance. Since then,
NANTA continued to go abroad and eventually made it all the way to New York, premiering at the Minetta
Lane Theater(off-Broadway) on March 7, 2004 and ran for one and a half years. NANTA became the first
Asian show to open its own theatre on On/Off-Broadway theater!
NANTA aims to become the longest-running show in Korea. Its 365 days-open run theatre has welcomed
more than 1 million foreign visitors and through the world tour(51 Countries. 289 cities), it has been
meeting more audiences than you can imagine. Celebrating the 10,000,000th viewer in Jan. 2015,
NANTA shows no signs of stopping and strives to continue to break records with its spectacular contents.

2. MUSIC SHOW-WEDDING
Music Show WEDDING is a sensational non-verbal comic music show where the actors sing, dance, and
play approximately 20 creative and unique instruments.
Since the start in 2012, with a wedding ceremony being the main backdrop, Music Show WEDDING has
continued to grab the attention of the local and foreign audience. Just one year after its kick-off, Music
Show WEDDING made it to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2013. Excellent 5 star reviews poured out
from the press and the reactions of the audience were as bubbly as the show itself. In just 2 years Music
Show WEDDING has already made it to 8 countries and 9 cities and will soon be throwing bouquets all
over the globe.
The wedding ceremony is spiced up with a comical synopsis, the excellent facial expressions of the actors,
participation of the audience, and a touch of K-pop melodies. Combined artistic elements awe the
audience and make the performance a hysterical and melodic memory for all ages. It is without a doubt
the wackiest wedding ceremony that one will ever see.

The idea of making a new creation is a very delightful project, but it’s also a strenuous and painful
process. To produce not only foreign licensed musicals but also original works that depict the traditional
songs and stories of Korea, PMC Production & Co. has been enduring this painful process with pleasure.
Beginning with the musical, DALGONA in 2004, PMC Production & Co. has been providing the audience
with joy and amazement through various works such as MUSIC IN MY HEART, MARCH OF YOUTH, THE
GREAT JANGGEUM and BROTHERS WERE BRAVE, and PUSH AND PULL. PMC Production & Co. will
continue to produce Korean musicals that will become internationally acknowledged.

PMC Production & Co., Ltd which is mainly devoted to producing domestic musical performances, also
continuously seeks a large audience with licensed performances from abroad.
Recently LEGALLY BLONDE, which illustrates the-already renowned Elle Wood’s adventure in Harvard
University, has attracted many people with entertaining stories, exciting music, and various spectacles.
PMC Production & Co., Ltd will strive to present high-quality foreign shows that fulfill the desires of the
audience.

PMC Networks has been planning on various businesses related to the copyright of contents. Based on
PMC KIDS, a representative brand of children’s performances, PMC is enlarging its business from
