Chief, We often respond to calls that are a bit out of the ordinary, this particular call was one that was recognized for their personal compassion to the resident. I have attached a copy of a "Thank You" card we received for a job well done. Bryan LaManna, Scott Rans and I responded to a call on 7/10/12 for a unknown noise in a vent above a stove. They disassembled the unit and found a mouse. They removed the mouse and reassembled the unit, went into the attic and blocked off any chance for future problems. They went above and beyond and I wanted to say personally that is an example of the professionalism and community respect Gurnee Fire Department represents.
