CAMPING OUTSIDE THE TRACK
CAMPING & VEHICLE POLICIES
Staging will begin at 8:00am on Saturday, October 15, 2016.
All reserved spaces come with two passes. The large (top) pass is
for your RV (motorhome, travel trailer, fifth wheel, etc) and the small
(bottom) pass is for a tow or companion vehicle. These passes must
be attached to a vehicle windshield.
Please note that a truck or other vehicle pulling a travel trailer or fifth
wheel is considered an RV. In this situation, a camping pass would be
placed on the vehicle, not the travel trailer or fifth wheel. The second
pass will need to be placed on your tow or companion vehicle, if
applicable. Two vehicles (car, van, pick-up, SUV, etc.) are allowed
per space for those guests who plan on using tents on their site. All
vehicles must have a camping pass for the reserved camping area.
One additional tow/companion vehicle pass may be purchased per
reserved space for a $40 fee, if the vehicle can fit inside the reserved
space. Purchase at Main Ticket Office during race week ticket office
hours.
All vehicles and items brought into the park must fit in your reserved
space. One recreational vehicle (RV) per space. An RV is defined as
a vehicle or trailer with cooking facilities with an on-board power
source, toilet facilities with on-board holding tank, potable water
supply system including faucet, sink and holding tank, heating and/or
air conditioning separate from the vehicle.
All vehicles without a reserved camping sticker or vehicle tag must
park in one of the free overnight camping areas or in the Overnight
Parking Area located outside of Gate 9/Turn Three or purchase a tow
vehicle pass.

GENERATORS / HEATERS
Never use a generator or portable heater inside recreational
vehicles, tents, trailers, or similar areas, even when using
fans or opening doors and windows for ventilation. Deadly
levels of carbon monoxide can quickly build up in these
areas and can linger for hours, even after the generator or
heater has been shut off.
Follow the instructions that come with your generator or
heater. Locate the unit outdoors and far from recreation
vehicles, tents, trailers, doors, windows and vents that could
allow carbon monoxide to come indoors.
Get fresh air right away if you start to feel dizzy.
FIRE HAZARDS
Never store fuel for your generator or heater in
recreation vehicles, tents or trailers. Gasoline, propane,
kerosene and other flammable liquids should be stored
outside of these areas in properly labeled, non-glass
safety containers. Do not store them near a fuel-burning
appliance, such as a natural gas water heater.
Before refueling the generator or heater, turn it off and
let it cool down. Gasoline spilled on hot engine parts
could ignite.
