NEWS BRIEFS
Church Clean Up
Plan to join us this Saturday,
March 12, as many hands make
light work. Come at 8:00 am to
clean up around the church,
both inside and outside, as we
prepare for Easter. We hope to
have all the work completed before noon.
Spring Forward this Sunday!
This Sunday,
March 13, will
be the start of
Daylight
Savings Time,
so remember
to set your
clocks forward an hour
on Saturday
night!
Cancellations for Spring Break
Monday, March 14, there will
be no Pie Crust rolling, Girl
Scouts, or Cub Scouts.
Wednesday, March 16, there
will be no evening activities—no
meal, adult study, youth, choir
practice, or Boy Scouts.
Spring Fling—Saturday, March 19
Spring Fling is less than two weeks
away! On Saturday, March 19, we will
join with FUMC Nacogdoches on our
church lawn to open up arts and crafts
stations, games, snacks, and bounce
houses at 10 am. Then at noon, we
start the massive Easter egg hunts,
one for the younger children, and a
separate hunt for the older children.
We need volunteers to:
Before Spring Fling:
Bring small prizes like bubbles and
coloring books
Help set up Friday, March 18, at 3 pm
On the day of Spring Fling:
Host a game booth
Monitor a bounce house
Hide Easter eggs (for both egg hunts)
We will provide child care for volunteers during Spring Fling!
Remember that this is a great outreach event from our church to families in
our neighborhood—we have invited every
student at Nettie Marshall and Brooks
Quinn Jones to join us! Let’s all join together in hosting a morning of fun and
fellowship for our neighbors!
To volunteer, contact event coordinator Kelly Allensworth at
940.577.6666 or [email protected]. To volunteer to work in Arts and
Crafts, call coordinator Susan Stoner at 564-4741.
Order Easter Lilies
Call the church office to sponsor real or artificial Easter lilies
this year in honor or memory of
someone dear to you. Orders,
with $10 payment, are due
Wednesday, March 16, either in
the offering plate during Sunday
worship or in the church office.

Cooking for ZOE on Easter!
Leave the cooking to us! On Easter Sunday, March 27, 9:30-10:30
am, the Missions Committee will serve a pancake breakfast in
Memorial Hall to raise money for the ZOE Working Group that
Perritte sponsors. Come eat a hearty breakfast to support a great
cause, and enjoy!
