WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE
BETWEEN A PROFESSIONAL
GRADE SUPPLEMTENT AND A
FOOD GRADE SUPPLEMENT?
It is certainly easier and far less
expensive to purchase over the
counter (OTC) vitamins and
supplements. However, that is
where the benefits stop. Dosages
may vary, but quality is without a
doubt lower. The standards and
procedures for manufacturing are
often less stringent, and the purity
levels do not even come close.
Besides, how economical are you
being if the vitamins you take are
not doing their job? Vitamins and
supplement are not required to be
tested for content or purity. So, the
source of your vitamins is absolutely
important. Their bioavailability, or
how well they can be absorbed by
the body, is so much higher in a
professional vitamin supplement
because they do not contain the
binders, fillers, and dyes that are in
over-the-counter “food grade”
supplements. The real cost for OTC
supplements must be calculated in
terms of your health.

Rules Corner Question
During a recent stroke-play event, Jack hit his ball into a
fairway bunker, where it came to rest in front of a pine cone.
Because the pine cone interfered with his backswing, Jack
carefully removed the pine cone without causing his ball to
move and then played from the bunker. The ruling is:
a. It's OK to do what he did, there's no penalty.
b. One stroke penalty
c. Two stroke penalty
d. Disqualification
See page 16 for the answer.

“Our
Goal is to Help You Enjoy Your Golf More”
Tips From The Pro
Know the Loft on Your Putter
One of the most important aspects of putting is delivering the putter
with the right amount of loft to the ball to get the ball to roll the most
efficiently. There are two things to know regarding this. First, how
much loft is actually on your putter in a static position and second is to
know how much loft is dynamically on your putter at impact. We now
have the two best tools in the industry to discover this. The SAM
PuttLab and the Mitchell TourGauge Digital Putter Machine. If
you would like to putt better you might want to check these out.
Tom Losinger, PGA Master Professional
Golf Academy – 770-345-5557

SAM PuttLab
at BridgeMill Golf Academy
SAM PuttLab is an analysis and
training system based on an
accurate ultrasound measurements.
It analyzes the 28 most important
parameters of your putting stroke and
displays the results in easy to
understand graphic reports. Discover
your individual strengths and
weaknesses for a better and more
efficient training.
Within seconds the system gives
you an individual feedback on your
putting strokes. The analysis reveals
even the smallest details of your
movements and allows you to
develop improvements and training
strategies. SAM PuttLab utilizes
ultrasound sensory analysis and
therefore is far more precise than
any other similar system on the
market.

LGA News
The warmer temps have arrived and the Ladies Golf Association is springing into action with tournaments and
Girls Night Out socials.
The March Picnic and Practice on the Range was our first get together for the season. 30 ladies came out to
practice and get a tips from Denise and our new Pro, Ryan. It was a beautiful evening and there was a great
spread of food which included sandwiches, salad, cookies and wine. We were able to visit and warm up for the
upcoming season. Photos below are from the Practice on the Range event courtesy of our Historian, Caroline
Zipkin.
April 11th was the season opener tournament and luncheon organized by Jan Small. Stretch the string is one of
our club’s favorite formats and Jan included a few surprises on the par 3 holes just to keep things interesting. We
enjoyed a delicious lunch at Featherstones Grille and are looking forward to the 2015 golf season.
Saturday, June 6th will be our ever popular Par 3 tournament hosted by Char Bailey. Watch the upcoming events
for additional information and respond YES when you receive the evite! The following are on the LGA calendar

He is quite an accomplished player and was ranked #1 in Florida in all age
divisions, boys 10U through 18U and top 5 nationally as a junior. He was
named the Miami-Dade County Junior Athlete of the Year by the City of Miami
6 times. He earned the Sportsmanship Award from the USTA Florida and
National Committee 3 times. He has been a member of the Peru Davis Cup
team since 2008, played college tennis at Georgia State University and has
also been a practice partner for the Williams sisters, Kim Clijsters, Dominika

Tennis Ball Recycling
Instead of launching your used or bad tennis balls into the woods please drop
them off at the Pro Shop for recycling. Old tennis balls have a multitude of
uses after their tennis life has expired. Teachers, boaters & dog lovers are
always calling for old tennis balls. Plus they do not disintegrate into the
ground, so to be kind to the earth please help us recycle used tennis balls.

The Haigwood Family would like to extend a HUGE
thank you to Pat Perry’s management and the junior
program at Bridgemill Athletic Club. Nicole has committed to playing Division 1 tennis at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. Nicole Haigwood credits her
fundamentals in tennis to her training which began at
age 5, to the excellent coaching she received from
Dave Brackett, Tim Hynes, Nanely Valejo, Michael
Blass, and past Bridgemill coaches RJ Dunkle and
Marisca Conrady. She knows she wouldn't be the player she is today without the sound teaching that she received here at Bridgemill. Thanks so
much for your quality programs!

BridgeMill Community Association
The Association is again funding the cutting of Sixes Road, from Marble Quarry to Bells Ferry Road and Bells Ferry
Road, from our third entrance at Gold Mill Ridge to our main entrance at BridgeMill Parkway. The county maintains the
right-of-way areas, but due to budget constraints would not be maintaining the areas to our satisfaction; these roadways are the corridors to our neighborhood and the Board believes those areas should be maintained more frequently
than the county budget allows. All concerns about the condition of Sixes Road or Bells Ferry Road should be addressed
with the county, not the BridgeMill HOA; we only fund the work, we are not under contract with the landscaper.
Residents, tenants, landlords – YARDS MUST BE MAINTAINED on a regular basis! This includes cutting and edging the
yard; bushes should be trimmed and manicured. Fresh pine straw or mulch needs to be placed in the planting beds
every year. Hundreds of letters were mailed early spring when weeds were growing and the Bermuda grass was still
dormant. It is obvious who uses the proper chemicals throughout the year to maintain a weed free yard. Owners/
landlords are ultimately responsible for the condition of the property. Please either require a lawn service in your rental
agreement or make other arrangements to ensure the yard is maintained. The Association exercises it right of self help
and abatement when yards are not being maintained, but there is due process which requires a 10 day letter before
we can legally enter onto a property and do work, like lawn mowing. If you see a yard that is not in keeping with the
standards of BridgeMill please contact the property manager so he can look into it.
Congratulations to the April 2015 Yard Of the Month Winners!
