The Surfers RSL is a well known Club in Surfers, having been established since 1960. Of course the location and
structure have undergone many changes since, but the relaxed and dedicated focus on keeping our customers and
members happy, remains the same.
We are located minutes from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and minutes from the dazzling nightlife
that makes Surfers Paradise “the” place to be. Our Club boasts full gaming facilities including Poker Machines,
Keno and TAB if required as well as fully stocked bars and food fit for kings & queens at prices that won’t hurt your
pocket.
We boast three beautiful function areas available for almost any event, from small meetings, to weddings, parties and
corporate gala dinners including a spectacular outside Deck area surrounded by lush greenery a sidewalk view of the
famous Cavill Avenue, as well as its own private bar, heating system if required and music.

THE CORAL SEA is a large windowed room which can be converted in many different ways to
accommodate any type of function. Weddings, Luncheons, Dinners, Birthday Parties, Conferences, Expos...the list
goes on. The Room is located on Level 1 with concertina doors for privacy and a balcony for outdoor use and is
in close proximity to the bar & bathroom facilities. Easy access is available via the ground floor lift or stairs.

to your Event. Should you wish to increase the amount, a valid credit card must be left with the Bar

Queensland RSA Policies apply throughout the entire Event/Function.
To ensure the smooth operation of your function, we ask you to please read the ‘TERMS & CONDITIONS’ of this contract. Should you have
any questions in regards to this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
The following are the ‘Terms & Conditions’ upon which the booking is accepted. Under Surfers Paradise RSL Club policy, patrons are not
permitted to bring alcohol or food onto its premises unless otherwise agreed upon with Surfers RSL Management. This is a member orientated facility, we need to consider all of our members and require a full event order outlining the entire function/event requirements. All
function bookings require a non-refundable deposit of the full room hire to secure your function date. Tentative bookings will be held for a
maximum period of seven (7) days. After which time a deposit must be made to secure your date. If a second party expresses interest in the
same date after a tentative booking has been made, the Surfers RSL Club will advise both parties of the situation. Under these conditions,
the first party to confirm a booking by way of a paid deposit will receive the date in question. Upon payment of the deposit, clients acknowledge and agree to comply with the terms and conditions set out by Surfers Paradise RSL Club and relevant parties. Surfers Paradise RSL Club
reserves the right to cancel any reservation not held with a deposit. Surfers Paradise RSL Club reserves the right to cancel a function/event
should the function/event be seen to prejudice the reputation of the Surfers RSL Club.
CANCELLATIONS AND DATE CHANGES
All deposits paid for functions will be forfeited if a function/event is cancelled within one (1) month of the date or the date changes and
Surfers Paradise RSL is subsequently unable to book another function/event on the date originally held. For cancellations with more than one
(1) months notice, 50% of the deposit fee will be refunded. Please note that refunds may take up to fourteen (14) business days to credit
into your account. If the function/event is cancelled within seven (7) days of the function date, Surfers RSL Club will charge the client 100% of
the food costs.
UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES
Should the Surfers Paradise RSL Club be unable to comply with any of the provisions in this contract by virtue of cessation or interruption of
electricity or gas supplies, industrial disputes, plant equipment failure, unavailability of food items or any other unforeseen contingency or
accident, the Surfers Paradise RSL Club reserves the right to cancel any booking or refund any deposit without notice.
WET WEATHER
Surfers Paradise RSL Club is more than willing to assist with wet weather options, should we be able to accommodate extra patrons. Under
no circumstances will a full refund be applicable due to the weather conditions.
FINAL NUMBERS AND CATERING
Minimum numbers are required to book function space as outlined within the room hire costing. Maximum numbers are to be advised upon
booking function space. Preliminary numbers are required for catering purposes and it is recommended that these are given to the functions
manager as soon as possible. The nominated attendance figure must be confirmed 72 hours prior to the function and the basic food and
beverage charges will be calculated on the greater of the confirmed and actual attendance figures. The Surfers Paradise RSL Club reserves
the right to only cater for the confirmed number. Menu and Beverage details are required fourteen (14) days prior to the event along with
any special dietary requirements. We are unable to permit clients to provide their own food and beverage, and any food not consumed
remains the property of the Surfers Paradise RSL Club.
PAYMENT
Full payment is required 7 days prior to your function/event. Payments can be made by Cash, Eftpos, Visa & Mastercard. Cheques will not be
accepted unless authorised by management, and we do not accept Diners Club or Travellers Cheques. Any incidental charges are to be paid
for at the conclusion of the function/event and will include any charges not authorised in the original contract.
PRICE VARIATIONS
Every endeavour is made to ensure our prices quoted in the brochure are correct and current. If any changes occur due to circumstances
outside our control you will be notified immediately if you have a standing booking with us.
DAMAGES & PERSONAL PROPERTY
The organiser of the function/event will be held responsible and charged, if applicable, for any damages caused to the Surfers Paradise RSL
Club property during the course of the function/event, by attendees, delegates and guests. Any property of the client or any other person
brought into the Surfers Paradise RSL Club shall be at the owners risk and the Surfers Paradise RSL Club shall not be held liable for any loss or
damage, however this is caused. This includes any and all items left inside the Club after the function/event.
CONDUCT
Guests attending the event must conduct themselves in an orderly manner complying with all reasonable direction from Surfers Paradise RSL
staff. Surfers Paradise RSL Club reserves the right to remove any persons whose behaviour is deemed objectionable, improper or
undesirable. If a guest attending the function/event becomes aware of a dangerous or broken item, they should report this immediately to
the Manager in charge. Please nominate a responsible adult in your party to act as a contact person for any issues that may arise during your
function. Minors are allowed on the premises until 10.00pm unless otherwise arranged with management. The client agrees to ensure that
minors will be kept under strict supervision. Any minor found consuming alcohol will be removed from the premises and the remainder of
the function/event will be cancelled and not refunded.
LIQUOR ACT 1992
All functions/events are to be held in accordance with the Liquor Act 1992; Surfers Paradise RSL Club reserves the right to refuse entry to any
person. Our staff practise and are trained in the responsible service of alcohol.
VENUE ACCESS
Under the Liquor Act 1992; all persons attending the Surfers Paradise RSL Club will be required to sign in at the Club’s reception area.
Reciprocal members have full access to all facilities, as per the reciprocal rights agreement. Visitors under the age of eighteen (18) years are
not required to sign in, although they must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
SMOKING
As per Queensland Smoking Regulations, under no circumstances is any guest permitted to smoke inside the Surfers Paradise RSL Club. Your
functions/events Manager will advise you of the designated smoking areas of the club.
ENTERTAINMENT AND NOISE RESTRICTIONS
All entertainment must be approved prior to a booking to ensure it will not conflict with our current entertainment and members. Noise
restrictions also apply for all forms of entertainment. Please speak with the functions/events manager in regards to this.
INDEMNITY
The client attends the function/event at his/her own risk and agrees to indemnify and keep indemnified the Surfers Paradise RSL Club against
all costs, charges and expenses which may be incurred due to any person suffering injury while at a function/event or due to any loss or
damage of the property related directly or indirectly to the function/event.
GOODS AND SERVICES ORGANISED BY THE CLIENT
Delivery of hired equipment supplied by the client to the Surfers Paradise RSL must be advised to the functions/events manager prior to the
delivery and must be delivered to the designated area. Surfers Paradise RSL Club will not accept responsibility for the security, set up,
transportation, loss or damage to this equipment.
WHOSO
FIRE OFFICER
You agree that the ‘Terms and Conditions’ in this agreement constitute all the terms agreed upon for the hiring of the Surfers Paradise RSL
Club for your function. Any departure from these ‘Terms and Conditions’ will only be binding if the Surfers Paradise RSL Club has accepted
these conditions in writing prior to the function/event. If Management have discussed any different ‘Terms and Conditions’ with you, please
draw them to our attention prior to signing this agreement. Any special or varied conditions should be set out on the attached function/
event quotation. Please sign this agreement as an acknowledgement of your acceptance of the above ‘Terms and Conditions’ and return it
with your deposit to the Surfers RSL Club to ensure you’re booking is confirmed. The Management of Surfers RSL Club, look forward to providing you with the very best care and service to ensure the success of your function/event. Thank you.
