Astonishing… beautiful…most definitely a family show.” ~ Montreal Gazette ist Art S s erie “Experience the wonders of China like you’ve never seen them before!” Jungua: Descendents of the Dragon November 8, 2008 A high impact, theatrical entertainment experience for all audiences, “Jungua: Descendents of the Dragon” celebrates Chinese culture in an explosion of Kung Fu, acrobatics, music and dance. Dramatic scenery, authentic props and lavish costumes create a feast for the eyes. The amazing skills of China’s finest acrobats and martial arts masters fuse with modern staging, exciting choreography and dramatic music/lighting to immerse the senses and present these cultural treasures of China from a uniquely modern perspective. Step through the moon gate and into the realm of the Dragon. 4 “A hit of the first order.” ~ USA Today Bro Nunsense adw ay S e ries December 4, 2008 The hit musical comedy celebrates its 25th anniversary with this special national tour starring two-time Emmy Award winner, Sally Struthers! Don’t miss this zany evening with the Little Sisters of Hoboken in the show that has become an international phenomenon, boasting more than 5,000 productions worldwide in over 21 different languages! Struthers brings this new production and its comic surprises to roaring life as Mother Superior in “A hail of fun and frolic,” according to The New York Times. 5 Oliver! December 16 & 17, 2008 Consider yourself enchanted by “Oliver!,” Hailed the world over as one of the best-loved family musicals of all time, this national tour of “Oliver!” brings to the stage some of Charles Dickens’ most unforgettable characters, along with one of Broadway’s most memorable scores. Hits such as “Consider Yourself At Home,” “Food, Glorious Food” and “Where Is Love” surround this heartwarming tale of the young orphan, Oliver Twist, in this all new production of Lionel Bart’s magical musical. “Oliver! is a stunningly beautiful musical.” ~ New York Post Special Family Event “An ideal show to introduce children to the world of musical theatre.” ~ The Baltimore Sun The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee January 12, 2009 This Tony-Award winning new musical comedy has been acclaimed by the Wall Street Journal as “perfect in every possible way – that rarity of rarities, a supersmart musical that is also a bona fide crowd pleaser.” Follow six young people in the throes of puberty, overseen by grown-ups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves, as they learn that winning isn’t everything and that losing doesn’t necessarily make you a loser. This delightfully tuneful, offbeat and at times heartwarming show even offers audience members the opportunity to become part of the stage action. es i ay Ser w ad Bro For es. lt them s. Adu ce audien mature “Irresistible, riotously funny and remarkably ingenious – gold stars all around.” ~ The New York Times 6 7 Be transported to a magical, wonderful world where the critics are in awe, the audiences are in heaven and the neighborhood is buzzing with excitement! Boasting the most 2006 Tony Awards of any musical on Broadway, the national tour of this new musical comedy will swoop into town with tons of laughs! It all begins when a die-hard musical fan plays his favorite cast album, a 1928 smash hit called “The Drowsy Chaperone,” and the show magically bursts to life. You’ll be instantly immersed in the glamorous, hilarious tale of a celebrity bride and her uproarious wedding day, complete with thrills and surprises that take both the cast (literally) and the audience (metaphorically) soaring into the rafters. Boasting the most 2006 Tony Awards of any musical on Broadway! “Musical-within-musical is perfectly staged, wholly entertaining.” ~ Chicago Sun Times The Drowsy Chaperone January 21, 2009 “A tribute to the jazz age.” ~ Tampa Tribune Broadw ay Serie s 8 A phenomenal and moving repertoire of dynamic renditions of classic spirituals, jazz, Broadway numbers and more, that highlight the Black experience and keep the American Negro spiritual alive. Magnificent soloists in their own right, the members of the American Spiritual Ensemble have sung in theaters and opera houses around the world, including the Metropolitan Opera, New York City Opera, Houston Grand Opera, and abroad in Italy, Germany, Britain, Scotland, Spain and Japan. Don’t miss these extraordinarily talented vocalists who have thrilled audiences across the globe since 1995! “The prodigious voices made the audience tremble with emotions ... the forcefulness and sheer power of the voices and the impressive timbre and sounds were almost too much to imagine.” ~ La Rioja ~ Logroño, Spain ies er Artist S American Spiritual Ensemble February 7, 2009 9 “A sublime blend of emotional intensity and technical brilliance.“ ~ Chicago Sun-Times “Intriguing, tantalizing . . . lush and gorgeous.” “Take a deep breath, because ~ Chicago Tribune Hubbard Street Dance Chicago is going to take your breath away.” Ar tist ~ The Washington Post S er Hubbard Street Dance Chicago ies February 23, 2009 Chicago’s leading contemporary dance company is celebrating 30 years as one of the most renowned dance institutions in the world. A big hit.” ~ The Wall Street Journal ies o Br ad y wa r Se Dirty Rotten Scoundrels March 11, 2009 Set on the glorious, glamorous Riviera, “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” is a delicious musical comedy that follows two con artists as they take on the lifestyles of the rich and shameless – and end up with a lot more than they bargain for. If you don’t want to see this show because its “One of the liveliest, funniest, best-performed musicals in years!”, according to the New York Post, then see it because the money helps pay for grandmother’s cosmetic surgery. 11 “Purrr-fect family fun!” ~ Family Magazine “Cats Incredible!” ~ People Magazine “Spec-cat-ular” ~ New York Post ent v ily E am ial F Spec Moscow Cats Theatre March 21, 2009 Imagine 35 cats, one dog and 5 clowns!
