Model History
In autumn 1966 the Interceptor was presented. The four-seat luxury coupé wore a striking
glass dome at the rear. The body, designed by Vignale was now being made of sheet steel.
The interceptor had a remarkable success. Chrysler engines from 6.3 to 7.2 liters
were installed at the factory in Bromwich. In addition to the saloon, in 1974 the convertible and
in 1975 the very rare coupé were introduced.
Description
Special features: Rare Convertible
This Jensen Interceptor MK3 Convertible was delivered to Canada in 1976. In the early 1990s
the car was brought back to the UK. In 1993, the current German owner bought the car. The
convertible has been restored in England. Many modifications have been done in this
restoration: e.g. ignition system, coolant tank and stainless steel exhaust system. The
extensive "bolt-off" restoration is proven with a restoration story in Motor Klassik (01/1996).
The car has always been registered and was driven and serviced occasionally.
Paint and chrome show slight signs of wear. The interior and the roof are intact.
German car documents are available.
