WINTER 2016
Come talk to us about a NEW higher-yield CD, from TCCU.
*Annual Percentage Yield. A minimum deposit of $1,000.00 is required.
Dividends will be compounded monthly and paid at maturity if the account
is not renewed. We may impose a penalty for early withdrawal. Fees could
reduce earnings. Your account will automatically renew at maturity, unless
you tell us otherwise in writing within ten (10) days of maturity.
Do it today – just go to
www.taylorvillecommunitycreditunion.com
and follow the prompts to sign up for online
banking. You’ll wonder why you waited!
LOSE TRACK OF HOLIDAY EXPENDITURES?
At TCCU, we are replacing our members’ current,
“non-chip” MasterCard with a new chip card as
your card comes up for renewal. This will be
done automatically, so you really don’t have to do
anything (except activate your card before first use).
All NEW MasterCard accounts will automatically
receive the “chip” card.
The “chip” implanted in your charge cards helps deter
fraud and keeps your TCCU MasterCard account(s)
safe from misuse and theft. For more information,
please stop in or call your local TCCU branch.
ALL TCCU MasterCards will have their own unique
card number. This means that each card must be
activated (by the cardholder) before use. Activation
instructions will come with your new card. All new
MasterCards will have a new design.
Eliminate those 15%, 19%, or in some cases as much as 29% interest – that’s
a LOT of your money going to interest charges. SAVE money … make the
switch to your TCCU Visa Card. Here’s an example of potential savings:
That’s a SAVINGS of more than $2,900!
Don’t have a TCCU Visa Card? Apply TODAY! Do it online, or stop by the
credit union office. If you already have our Visa card, what are you waiting
for? Make those FREE balance transfers immediately and SAVE money!
*Annual Percentage Rate. Subject to credit approval.
**We recommend you pay as much as possible per month on any loan, charge card
balance, etc., that you owe, and not simply the minimum amount due. The more
you pay each month, the quicker you pay off that debt, and the more you save on
interest payments.

We have been focused on bringing new products and
services to our members. This past year was a great
example of this. Members with online banking are now
able to see their credit card activity. Check images were
also added to online banking. Online banking is free to
use, so sign up right away! Have you seen our ads for the new mobile
app? The mobile app is free to download and gives members the ability
to transfer funds between accounts, view account history, pay bills, and
so much more. The new app can be downloaded in your app store, or
you can go to www.taylorvillecommunitycreditunion.com for a
direct link.
No problem – transfer those high-interest charge card purchases to your
TCCU Visa Card. And not just your holiday expenditures … vacation,
‘must-haves’, and more.
LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
As advances in technology make it easier for crooks to
steal our personal/private information, it also makes
advances that help make it more difficult, as well.
One of those theft deterrents is the new “chip” cards
now available.
As 2015 comes to a close, I would like to take this
opportunity to thank all of the members, employees,
and directors for making TCCU such a great place. The
credit union philosophy of “people helping people” really
shines at our credit union. In fact, 2016 will mark TCCU’s
60th anniversary! What an exciting time to be a member!
We’ve all been there – caught up in the holiday spending cycle: wining,
dining, shopping, travel. It’s easy to lose track of just how much you’re
spending/charging … until the bills come in.

NEWS FROM TAYLORVILLE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION
Another new product that the credit union just came out with is share
certificates. Share certificates (also known as CDs) are something that the
membership has been asking for and we have listened. We have terms
available from one to five years and have competitive yields available.
Call or visit any one of our facilities for the current rates.
Have you been to the new branch in Litchfield yet? If you haven’t, I
encourage you to do so. It is located at 801 W. Union in Litchfield and
features a completely remodeled facility with drive-up, ATM, and night
deposit. We have also hired additional staff to meet our members’ needs.
We are excited about the new products and services we are working on
for 2016. You will notice that your statements now include check images.
The website is also being remodeled. The new website is a responsive
website, which means that it will be easier to access via a tablet or
smartphone. The new website will be live in the first quarter. These
are just some of the new products and services that we are working on.
Several other projects are in the works and will be announced as we
move throughout 2016.
On behalf of the employees and directors of TCCU, I would like to wish
all of our members a Happy New Year! Thank you for your continued
membership and we will work hard to continue delivering the products
and services that you desire.
Sincerely,
Will Perkins
President

STOP. SHOP. VOTE!
TCCU’s second annual Scholarship Program is in full swing, with voting open through Monday, February 29. For every $10 you
spend in a participating business (see business list below), you may cast one (1) vote for any senior student from the local high
school who has registered.
Registered students’ names / photos are displayed on posters in participating businesses’ windows. Ballots are available at check-out.
“We have several additional businesses participating with us this year,” points out Consuela France, TCCU’s Marketing Manager,
“so people have more opportunities to vote while they shop their local businesses.
“Response last year was incredibly strong, and we expect even greater support this year. The business owners have really gotten
into the program – it’s a good thing for our communities, our businesses, and our students.”

TCCU-LITCHFIELD OPEN HOUSE
DRAWS CROWD, PUBLICITY
After several long months of remodeling and a couple more months
‘shaking out’ the place, TCCU-Litchfield welcomed the community to its
new facility on Monday, December 7. Business leaders, TCCU members and
interested residents joined Chamber of Commerce reps and TCCU Board
and staff members in the ribbon cutting and Open House.
The 2,400-square foot facility already had drawn the attention of many folks,
as the location at 801 W. Union is far more visible and accessible than the previous location in downtown Litchfield. During the
presentation, TCCU President, Will Perkins, thanked the community for its support, and welcomed everyone to explore and
discover TCCU.
PEOPLE YOU SHOULD KNOW
LITCHFIELD OFFICE ADDS STAFF
Two additional Member Service representatives recently were hired in the Litchfield
branch office to help accommodate the growing membership and service demands
in Litchfield. According to Josh Maddaleno, Branch Manager, the two individuals
bring considerable business and financial experience to their new positions.
“We’re all very pleased to have Ashley Law and Paige Meyers join our staff,”
Maddaleno says. “The recent move to our new, larger facility – as well as the
increasing demands for services – necessitated an increase in staff. We are now
positioned to better serve the greater Litchfield community, both facility-wise and
staff-wise.”

1956 – 2016 60 Years Together!
2016 is a very special year for TCCU, as
we celebrate 60 years of service to our
thousands of members. Those 60 years have
seen considerable changes, challenges,
opportunities and successes. We plan to
highlight some of them throughout the year:
• How and when we got started
• Highlights of
growth/expansion
through the years
• Where we are now
• Some of the people
TOGETHER
who were instrumental
Each and every one of you has helped make
this possible. Without you, our member/
owners, TCCU would not exist. We want to
thank you for your loyalty and support.
We can help make your dreams come true … with
help from our full range of customized loans.
That’s right … TCCU is MORE than just car loans and savings
accounts. Whatever you can dream (or need), we can help design
the loan that fits your need AND your budget.
ANNUAL MEETING
KICKS OFF
DIAMOND JUBILEE
TCCU President, Will Perkins,
presented Rita Moomey a new iPad
during the credit union’s Credit
Union Day celebration this past
October.
Ashley Law joined
TCCU-Litchfield with
three years’ experience
in financial services with
another institution. In
her position as Member
Services representative, she
is responsible for day-today Teller duties, as well as
opening new accounts. “In
the month or so I’ve been
with TCCU, the difference in
philosophy between where
I worked before and the
credit union is apparent – it’s
‘members’ , who have a vested
interest in the credit union,
compared to ‘customers’.”
Law is a Litchfield native, and
she and her family continue
to reside in Litchfield. She and
her family have been TCCU
members for several years.
Paige Meyers
Paige Meyers also joined TCCU-Litchfield
as a Member Services representative,
responsible for day-to-day Teller activities
and support for members. She also is
responsible for coordinating some of the
credit union’s operations with inventory
and supply orders.
Meyers most recently owned Top Tier Cakes
in Hillsboro, a venture that consumed
much of her time. “After seven years in
business, I decided I needed something that
would give me more time with my family,
but still allowed me interaction with
people. I’m very much a people-person.
“Fortunately, working at TCCU is just
perfect. I love working with the members
and helping them with their accounts. Plus,
my duties here use my previous business
and organizational skill sets.”
Meyers and her family, who reside in
Hillsboro, also have been TCCU members
for several years.
Throughout our Diamond Jubilee year, we
will conduct special prize drawings, hold
special events (Member Appreciation Day,
Credit Union Day, among others), and offer
very special loan promotions. So don’t miss
2016 … and don’t miss the Annual Meeting,
when we announce the first of some very
exciting promotions and news!
